 Hi Friends!

Sometimes a card simply makes you smile the moment you see it, and this cheerful flamingo birthday card is definitely one of those! Created with the Birthday Song stamp set and the beautiful 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper, this project combines a playful image, bright colours, and an easy technique that you will want to use again and again.

Funny handmade birthday card featuring three flamingos from the Birthday Song stamp set with a masked blended blue background, layered 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper, and a humorous birthday greeting.

Funny handmade birthday card featuring three flamingos from the Birthday Song stamp set with a masked blended blue background, layered 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper, and a humorous birthday greeting.

One of my favourite parts of this card is the softly blended background created using a mask. This simple technique adds depth and helps draw your eye to the adorable trio of flamingos while keeping the design clean and fresh. It is amazing how one easy technique can completely change the look of a card.

During my demonstration, I walk you through the entire project step by step, sharing how to use the mask, assemble the card, and combine the patterned paper with the stamped images for a fun birthday design.

The sentiment, "This is your birthday song... It isn't very long!" adds the perfect finishing touch and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the birthday person's face.

If you would like to recreate this card, you will find the complete video tutorial below, along with all of the measurements and the supply list to help you create your own version.

Whether you use the Birthday Song stamp set or another favourite birthday stamp set from your collection, I hope this project inspires you to pull out your supplies, try the masking technique, and spend a little creative time in your craft room.

Stampin' Up! Wild Bunch Penguin Birthday Card Tutorial with Paper Strip Technique

 Hi Friend!

Today I'm sharing this adorable birthday card featuring the Wild Bunch stamp set and a fun paper strip background technique.

Handmade birthday card featuring three cute penguins from the Stampin' Up! Wild Bunch stamp set on a white card with black diagonal paper strips in the background, black heart outlines, orange embellishments, and a Happy Birthday greeting.

Handmade birthday card featuring three cute penguins from the Stampin' Up! Wild Bunch stamp set on a white card with black diagonal paper strips in the background, black heart outlines, orange embellishments, and a Happy Birthday greeting.

I love how the simple black and white design allows these sweet penguins to take centre stage. The diagonal paper strips add interest and movement to the card, while the pops of orange give it a playful birthday feel.

One of my favourite things about this design is that the background looks impressive but is actually very easy to create. It's a wonderful technique to add to your card-making toolbox and can be adapted for so many different themes and occasions.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below where I walk you through creating this cute birthday card step by step. In the video, I'll share all the measurements, demonstrate the paper strip technique, and offer a few tips along the way. Whether you're crafting right along with me or simply looking for inspiration, I hope you'll enjoy today's project and be inspired to create your own version.

Happy stamping!

Fun Spinner Card That Will Make You Smile Using the Cutest Crew Bundle

 Hi Friends!

Sometimes a handmade card includes a surprise that makes people smile the moment they see it.

This playful birthday card uses the Cutest Crew bundle to create an adorable easel fun fold design filled with mischievous little cats. But the real fun happens right in the center of the card.

One of the cats actually spins.

The interactive movement is created using a clever little bearing designed specifically for papercrafting, and once you see it in action it adds such a fun element to the design.

During the demonstration I shared how this easel fun fold card comes together and revealed the simple trick that makes the spinning element work.

Interactive cards like this are always a hit because they add a playful surprise that people don’t expect when they open their card.

If you enjoy fun folds, clever techniques, and cute critter stamps, you’ll definitely want to watch the replay and see how this one works.

Fragrant Layers Card with a Vellum Background Technique

 Hi Friends!

Today’s card is all about soft layers, gentle color, and letting your die cuts shine. For this project, I used the Fragrant Layers bundle paired with a vellum background technique that creates a beautiful, dreamy backdrop without overpowering the design.

Vellum can sometimes feel tricky to work with, but when it’s used this way, it adds just the right amount of color and interest while keeping the card light and elegant. The layered florals from Fragrant Layers really stand out against the translucent background, making this card perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or anytime you want something a little extra special.

During the live demonstration, I shared tips for adhering vellum cleanly, choosing color combinations that blend well, and building layered focal points that don’t feel bulky. This is one of those cards that looks intricate, but once you see the steps, it comes together beautifully.

If you missed the live demo, be sure to watch the replay — I walk through the entire process and share ideas for adapting this technique to other stamp sets and occasions.

Peaceful Dock Card with a Stamped Background Using the Boat Image

 Hi Friends!

For this Peaceful Dock card, I focused on creating a background using one simple image. By stamping the boat image multiple times, the background takes on a layered, textured look that feels calm and cohesive without overwhelming the design.

Peaceful Dock handmade card featuring a stamped background created by repeating the boat image from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Dock bundle.

This is a great technique for stretching your stamp sets and creating interest without extra layers or embellishments. It works especially well with scenic images and can easily be adapted using stamps you already have in your collection.

The video tutorial below goes over all the supplies and measurements needed for the card, along with tips for spacing and alignment when creating a stamped background.

As a bonus during the live demonstration, I also created a birthday card using Pride flag colours, designed completely on the fly. This card wasn’t planned ahead of time — it came together organically during the live, and the new Stampin’ Positioner Tool made it easy to line up the images while adjusting the design as I went. It was a fun, creative moment that shows how powerful it can be to simply trust the process and let inspiration guide you.

Be sure to watch the replay and subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss future cardmaking ideas, techniques, and inspiration.

A Stunning Twist: Fault Line Technique with Gallery Blooms

Hi Friends!

While we’re away this week, I still have something beautiful to share with you—a striking birthday card created with the Gallery Blooms bundle using the eye-catching Fault Line technique. This design is all about bold contrast and letting the gorgeous textures and colors shine through a dramatic torn-paper effect.

The background has been lightly embossed to add subtle texture, while that vivid pink and gold marbled paper peeks through the “fault line” across the front of the card. I added detailed peony blooms from the Gallery Blooms bundle for a strong focal point, giving the whole card a rich, layered feel. A simple “Happy Birthday” sentiment finishes it off perfectly.

This card was part of a special online Team event back in May, and I’m excited to share the tutorial with you! If you’ve never tried the fault line technique before, this is your chance to see just how fun and effective it can be. Whether you’re a seasoned cardmaker or just starting out, I think you’ll love the creative possibilities it offers.

You’ll find the full video tutorial below, along with tips and a closer look at how it all came together. Be sure to bookmark this one—it’s a real showstopper.

Create a Quick and Elegant Christmas Card with the Peace On Earth Bundle and the 3-3-3 Technique

Hi Friends!

If you're looking for a fast, fabulous, and festive holiday card idea, you're going to love this one! In my latest live demonstration, I shared a card created with the brand new Peace On Earth bundle from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! September–December Mini Catalogue. This bundle is filled with timeless holiday elements and beautiful sentiments that make cardmaking a breeze.

The card I created uses the 3-3-3 technique—one of my favorite go-to tricks for designing layouts. I’ll explain what that means in the video below, but here’s the sneak peek: it involves three strips of designer series paper, three embellishments, and three core design components. It’s a simple formula that takes the guesswork out of card design, and it works with just about any theme or bundle.

For this project, I chose soft neutral tones paired with shimmer and shine to give the card a peaceful and elegant holiday feel. The focal point is a beautiful die-cut dove, which practically floats off the card. If you're planning your Christmas cards and want something easy to recreate that still has that wow factor, this is a great place to start.

I walk through every step in the video below and share tips along the way for using the dies, layering elements, and getting the most from this beautiful new bundle.

Charming Day Watercolour Card with Floral Charm Paper and Fancy Borders – Tips, Tricks, and a Video Tutorial

 Hi Friends!

If you missed last Thursday’s live demonstration, you’re in for a real treat! I shared a stunning card using the Charming Day bundle, and this one features a soft watercolouring technique that’s perfect for highlighting the lovely line art in this set. Whether you're new to watercolouring or already a fan, this technique is so relaxing—and the results are gorgeous.

I paired the images with the Floral Charm designer paper, which brought in just the right pop of color and pattern. To add texture, I used the Glass & Garden embossing folder in the background, giving the card an elegant finish. The Fancy Border Dies were the perfect accent to frame everything and step the design up a notch.

Throughout the video, I shared plenty of tips and tricks—like how to control your watercolouring for different effects, ways to layer patterned paper and embossed backgrounds, and how to let the design of your dies guide your layout. This card is pretty enough to send for birthdays, thank-yous, or just to brighten someone’s day.

You’ll find the video tutorial at the bottom of this post, so you can follow along and create one of your own. I hope this project inspires you to pull out your Charming Day bundle and give watercolouring a try. Thanks so much for crafting along with me, and I’ll see you again soon with more fun and inspiration.

Stampin’ Blends on Vellum with the Charming Day Bundle: A Stunning Card Tutorial

 Hi Friends!

Happy Friday! I’m excited to wrap up the week by sharing another beautiful card I created with the Charming Day bundle. This time, I explored a different colouring technique that I demonstrated live in my VIP group and on YouTube this past Wednesday.

The technique I showcased is colouring on vellum with Stampin’ Blends. It’s a gorgeous way to add vibrant, translucent color to your projects, giving your stamped images a stained-glass look that’s both elegant and eye-catching. The Charming Day bundle is perfect for this technique, with its crisp, detailed images that shine through the soft finish of vellum.

During my live demonstration, I shared how to blend colours seamlessly on vellum, control bleeding, and adhere your vellum layers without visible glue marks. The result is a card that’s light, airy, and truly unique.

If you’ve never tried Stampin’ Blends on vellum, this Charming Day card is the perfect place to start. It’s a simple yet stunning technique that brings a fresh look to your handmade cards and adds another creative tool to your crafting toolbox.

I’ve included the video replay below so you can see exactly how this technique comes together and craft along with me. I hope you’ll give it a try and discover just how beautiful colouring on vellum can be with the Charming Day bundle.

How to Colour Charming Day Images with Stampin’ Blends for Gorgeous Handmade Cards

 Hi Friends!

On Tuesday’s live demonstration over on Facebook and YouTube, I shared how to create a beautiful card using the brand new Charming Day bundle. This bundle has quickly become one of my favorites for its delightful images and versatile sentiments, perfect for so many occasions.

One of the highlights of this demonstration was showing how to bring the Charming Day images to life with Stampin’ Blends. These alcohol markers are amazing for adding rich color and seamless shading, giving your stamped images depth and dimension. I shared tips on choosing color combinations, blending techniques, and how to avoid harsh lines for a smooth, professional look.

The card I created during the live features cheerful colors and the crisp detail that makes the Charming Day bundle shine. It’s a wonderful example of how a simple stamped image can become the focal point of your card with just a bit of coloring magic.

If you’ve been looking for ideas on how to use your Stampin’ Blends or you’re curious about the Charming Day bundle, this project is the perfect place to start. Whether you’re new to coloring or already love using alcohol markers, there’s always something new to learn and try.

Be sure to check out the video replay below so you can follow along and create your own Charming Day card. I hope it inspires you to pull out your Stampin’ Blends and start coloring!

Create a Stunning Fault Line Card with Gallery Blooms and Marbled Elegance Paper

 Hi Friends!

I’m excited to share a card I recently created using the gorgeous Gallery Blooms bundle and the Marbled Elegance specialty paper. This card was part of an all-day online Team event and quickly became one of my favorites to design and demonstrate.

This Fault Line card bursts with vibrant shades of pinks and reds, perfectly contrasted with black and white accents. The Gallery Blooms bundle offers elegant floral images and sentiments that pair beautifully with the luxurious textures of the Marbled Elegance paper. Together, they create a dramatic and eye-catching split across the card front that’s characteristic of the Fault Line technique.

The bold color palette makes the flowers pop, while the marbled patterns add an extra touch of sophistication. It’s a design that looks intricate but is surprisingly simple once you know the steps, making it a perfect project for both experienced stampers and those looking to try a new fun fold.

This card truly shines as an example of how specialty papers and beautiful stamps can transform a simple fold into something unforgettable. I hope it inspires you to pull out your Gallery Blooms bundle and experiment with the Fault Line technique for your own projects.

I didn’t do a video specifically for this card, but I do have a Fault Line video tutorial for you that shows how to create this fun fold step by step.

Center Step Fun Fold Card with Sunflower Embossing Folder and Beautiful Coloring Technique

 Hi Friends!

Today, I’m excited to share the gorgeous card I created during my live stamping demonstration—a Sunflower Center Step Fun Fold card that is bursting with cheerful color and amazing dimension.

This project spotlights the Sunflower Embossing Folder, which adds incredible texture and detail to any card. For this design, I paired the sunflower with a soft, sunny color palette and a gentle ink blending technique that brings the petals to life with delicate shading and depth. The large sunflower focal point absolutely steals the show and makes this handmade card perfect for birthdays or any happy occasion.

The Center Step Fun Fold layout is one of my favorites because it’s surprisingly easy to create while giving your cards a dramatic, three-dimensional look. The stepped layers frame the embossed sunflower beautifully and leave plenty of space for a greeting and embellishments. I used subtle pearls to add a touch of elegance and a pop of shine.

During my live demonstration, I shared step-by-step instructions for creating the Center Step Fun Fold base, embossing techniques, and how to color the sunflower for maximum impact. Whether you’re new to fun folds or a seasoned paper crafter, you’ll love how this technique transforms a single sunflower image into a bold, eye-catching centerpiece.

I’ll be adding the video tutorial below so you can craft along with me and see exactly how this card comes together. I hope it inspires you to pull out your embossing folders and try new ways to make your handmade cards shine. Thanks so much for visiting my craft room, and I can’t wait to share even more creative ideas with you soon!

How to Create the Carved Wood Technique with the Sunflower Embossing Folder for Stunning Handmade Cards

Hi Friends!

Today I’m excited to share a unique technique that brings incredible texture and depth to your handmade cards—the Carved Wood Technique using the Sunflower Embossing Folder.

During my recent live stamping demonstration, I walked through how to achieve this eye-catching carved wood effect. It transforms the Sunflower Embossing Folder into something completely new and unexpected. The result is a beautiful sunflower design that looks as if it’s been delicately etched into woodgrain, giving your card a warm, rustic elegance that’s perfect for so many occasions.

For my finished project, I paired this gorgeous embossed background with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies to create the bold “Hello” greeting. The combination of rich yellows, gold highlights, and intricate textures makes this card a real showstopper.

If you’ve been looking for ways to get more creative with your embossing folders or want to add a fresh twist to your card-making, this technique is definitely worth trying. The Sunflower Embossing Folder is a standalone product, so it’s easy to pair with any sentiment or embellishments you love.

I’ll include the full video tutorial below so you can watch step-by-step how this Carved Wood Technique comes together. It’s a wonderful way to elevate your crafting and surprise friends and family with cards that truly stand out.

Thanks for joining me in the craft room today, and I hope this project inspires you to try something new with your embossing folders. Keep crafting and stay tuned for more fun ideas coming soon!
