Funny Flamingo Birthday Card with an Easy Masking Technique with the Birthday Song Stamp Set

 Hi Friends!

Sometimes a card simply makes you smile the moment you see it, and this cheerful flamingo birthday card is definitely one of those! Created with the Birthday Song stamp set and the beautiful 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper, this project combines a playful image, bright colours, and an easy technique that you will want to use again and again.

Funny handmade birthday card featuring three flamingos from the Birthday Song stamp set with a masked blended blue background, layered 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper, and a humorous birthday greeting.

One of my favourite parts of this card is the softly blended background created using a mask. This simple technique adds depth and helps draw your eye to the adorable trio of flamingos while keeping the design clean and fresh. It is amazing how one easy technique can completely change the look of a card.

During my demonstration, I walk you through the entire project step by step, sharing how to use the mask, assemble the card, and combine the patterned paper with the stamped images for a fun birthday design.

The sentiment, "This is your birthday song... It isn't very long!" adds the perfect finishing touch and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the birthday person's face.

If you would like to recreate this card, you will find the complete video tutorial below, along with all of the measurements and the supply list to help you create your own version.

Whether you use the Birthday Song stamp set or another favourite birthday stamp set from your collection, I hope this project inspires you to pull out your supplies, try the masking technique, and spend a little creative time in your craft room.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the tutorial, and if you create your own version of this card, I would love to hear how it turned out!
