Rock Stars

I have a fun card for you today.  I find it very difficult to create boy cards, and for that age about 8 or 9 to 15 or so is really difficult.  I hope I hit it with this one ....
I participated in my own Designer Series Paper Share back in July when the new catalogue came out.  Now I have a whole bunch of DSP to choose from, for any occasion.  I reached for Big Top Birthday DSP for this card because I loved the bright colours.
Stamps:  Crazy Cool
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Big Top Birthday DSP
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
Other:  Stars #2 Die, 1" Circle Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
I am having my Annual Customer Appreciation Open House on Wed and will be a bit busy the next couple of days.  Please excuse me if I don't get a chance to post.
If you are in my area, pop on by to the open house.  Email me for details.
Happy Stampin' .......

Patterned Birthday Party

I created a really fun and happy card today using the new set "Patterned Party".  What youngster, or youngster at heart, would not love to receive this happy card .....
I used a lot of Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz on this one again.  Here is a picture of the bow treatment where you can see the bling in the background...
I used the "quilting" technique for this card.  First I stamped all the images on the Whisper White cardstock, then I ran it through my Big Shot with the Square Lattiace Embossing Folder. Then I spritzed on the Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz.  Then I cut out more balloons and added them on the card with dimensionals.  The bow is Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon tied into a bow and then an In Colour (Poppy Parade) Glimmer Brad in the middle.  Love that bling!!!
Stamps:  Patterned Party
Ink:  Poppy Parade
Markers:  Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
Other:  Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, In Colour Glimmer Brad
  Whisper White - 5.5 x 4.25
  Lucky Limeade - 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
  Whisper White - 5 x 3.75
Happy Stampin' see you soon .......

Snail Punchie Card

As promised, I am back today with the second punch image card we will be making on Tuesday, May 31st, at my Monthly Punchie Class.
This image is just so darned cute, and for a snail too!  I loosely used the Unscripted Sketch #109 for my inspiration for this card.
Stamps:  Bugs & Wishes, Family Phrases
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Concord Crush
Designer Paper:  Certainly Celery Patterns DSP
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Concord Crush
Other:  Perfect Polka Dots EF, Modern Label punch, Snail punch image
I stamped the snail from Bugs & Wishes on whisper white cardstock and cut them out.  This was another quick and easy card to make, once the punchie image was done.

Update:  I heard from the originator of this awesome punch art image.  Her name is Bonnie and she is uber creative.  Here is a link to her blog where you can purchase the tutorial for this image, and many more as well.

Giraffe Punchie

Well, I am back!  I have been gone for a while, we went to Disneyland for 6 days and had such an awesome time.  I took two more things off my "bucket list".  First hubby and I tried a Funnel Cake.  Our first time, and oh man it was delicious!  The second thing was to ride "California Screamin'" in California Adventure Land.  Now that was totally AWESOME.  We went with my sister and her family who love that type of ride, after the frst time I was hooked and rode it 5 more times.  Thank goodness for "FastPass" tickets!
I thought I would share a picture with you before I get onto today's card .....
I am the one in the back row on the right hand side.  This was trip #2.  The rest are my sister, her daughter and her hubby.
Now onto today's card......

On Tuesday I am having my Monthly Punchie Class. This month we are doing this cute giraffe, and tomorrow I will share the second card with you.  This image is so tall I had to make a longer card to fit it on, so it fits into a #10 envelope (9" x 4" finished size).
Stamps:  Family Phrases
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Other:  Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Build A Cupcake XL punch, Tasteful Trim die, daubers
I used the cupcake top from the cupcake punch to make the clouds, and the Tasteful Trim die to make the grass.  A very quick and easy card to make once you have the punchie image completed.
Thanks for coming back for a visit today.

UPDATE: I heard from the originator of this awesome punchie.  Her name is Bonnie (she is very talented) and HERE is a link to her blog where you can purchase the tutorial on this Giraffe.  Thanks, Bonnie, for letting me know you are the creator.

Buzz Lightyear Punch Image card share

Ok, I can share this now because yesterday we had our Grandson James' 3rd birthday party and we gave him this card along with his gift.  His party theme was Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story (1, 2 and 3 of course).  So I knew I had to do something Toy Story related.  I searched for a Buzz Lightyear and / or Woody punch image and was so lucky to come across THIS post for Buzz and THIS post for Woody.  Buzz is by the very talented Ellen Kemper of Blinkin' Thinkin' and Inkin' and Woody is by Sheila White a Guest Puncher on Ellen's blog.  Thank you both, ladies, for making James' birthday card one to remember.  I used the Buzz punch image and created my own card for him.  I have not done Woody yet, but he is on my to do list.  Here is my card for you ......

I have another card hanging on my "wall of fame" that uses the spaceship image from Pun Fun and every time James sees it he says "That's Buzz Lightyear's Spaceship" so I knew my card had to have that image on it.  This card was so much fun to do.  I was smart and made 2 Buzz images as I knew I was giving this one away.  Now I can re-create it and we can do a Monthly Punch Class on him and Woody when I get Woody done.
Thanks for visiting, visit Ellen's blog, she is a very talented Punch Artist!

You're A Blast - CASEd Card

Hi, I am back again, with another card CASEd from the Stampin' Up! IBC 2010-11. This one is from page 76.  I did not have the textured cardstock to make the card out of so I used the "direct to paper" technique with my Old Olive Classic Pad on Old Olive Cardstock.  This technique is extremely easy.  Just open your ink pad up, get your cardfront ready, place the ink pad in your hand with the pad facing the paper, and "smoosh" the pad around on the paper.  You can do it as little or as much as you want.  You can swirl, push, pull, or any other motion you want.  Each motion leaves a different kind of pattern on your cardstock.  I used swirl and push for this one.

In the catalogue, this card uses the Stars #2 die for the Big Shot.  But (horrors and shudder) I don't have it ..... YET!  I know, can you believe it?  I can't what happened there!  But it is on its way to my craft room as I type this!
I watercoloured the rocket using the ink pads listed below and an aqua pen directly onto Whisper White cardstock.  This is possible if you don't use too much water, which breaks down the fibres of the cardstock.  The sentiment "flag" is a strip of cardstock that is hand cut on the end.
Stamp Set:  Pun Fun
Ink:  Old Olive, StazOn Black, For colouring - Concord Crush, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock:  Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and Concord Crush
Other:  Star XL Punch, small star punch (retired), Old Olive Grosgain Ribbon, Retired Thread, Subtles Brads, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Circle Punch
Thanks, friends.  You're A Blast!  I appreciate each and every one of you visiting my blog and leaving all the awesome comments.  I'll be back tomorrow with another Owl card.

The second Punchie Image we will be doing in my January Monthly Punchie Class is Dino the Dinosaur.  I got the pattern for this little cutie from Heather Summers.  It was part of a series I purchased from Heather, so I am unable to share the "how to" with you.  But I can show you the card I made .......

If you want to know how to make Dino the Dinosaur, you will just have to come and take my Punchie Class on Tuesday, January 25th.  If you can't come to my house, contact me and we will make arrangements!  I did put Happy Birthday on the white piece at the bottom.
Stamp Set:  Stem Silhouettes
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz
Paper:  Concord Crush, Very Vanilla, Greenhouse Gala DSP
Other:  Modern Label and Word Window punches, brayer, dimensionals, sticky notes for moon mask

Today I created the second card for my Monthly Punchie class in January.  We will be doing this cute little Monkey that I got from my friend, Wanda McGlammery (wave to Wanda!), and the Dinosaur which I will post tomorrow.  But for now, here is the Monkey Punchie card for you ........

Along with the Monkey and Palm Tree punchie images, I also used:
Stamp Sets:  Curly Cute, Weathered (retired)
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock:  Naturals White, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue
Other:  3-1/2" Circle die

UPDATE:  Wanda left a comment that she got the idea from Sheryl Brown in Northern Virginia.  Just want to keep the credit to the proper individual.  Thanks, Sheryl!

Bugs and Kisses - CASEd Card

I bought this Linen Thread a long time ago and have not gotten around to using it yet.  When I saw this card on page 96 of the Stampin' Up! IBC 2010-11, I hunted until I found it in my stash.  Another quick card for you today.  Also, another kids card, and one that could be feminine or masculine.  I used Baja Breeze, as it is in the catalogue, and made a masculine birthday card.

This card could also use Pretty In Pink and be just as awesome.  And it could be for a younger "kid" or an older "kid" too.
Stamp set:  Bugs and Kisses
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Other:  Linen Thread, Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon
That's it, just that easy and a very few supplies.  If you are just getting started in Stampin' Up!, this list of supplies would be very versatile, and you could make all sorts of cards with it.

Two Step Owl XL Punch - CASEd Card

I just love this punch - Two Step Owl XL.  It is so versatile.  You can do Christmas owls, Valentine's Day owls, Easter owls, children's fairytale owls, the possibilities are endless!  This one is two Birthday Owls.  I CASEd this from page 94 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue 2010-11........

I made this for a girl who will be turning 9.  I don't even know any girls turning 9, I just liked the number with this card.  It could be made in blue as well, and be just as nice for a boy.  Or make it in red and give it to a female friend.  Just so many possibilities (sorry I did say that once already!).
Stamp Set: On Your Birthday
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper:  Pear Pizzazz and Pretty In Pink Patterns DSP
Cardstock:  Pretty In Pink, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Perfect Plum
Other:  Two Step Owl XL Punch, Two Step Bird XL Punch, Nestabilities
Classes start today, welcome back Ladies!  TTFN, Happy Stampin' ... ... ... Glenda Mollet
