Cupcake Birthday card

Although this card has some retired products on it, I wanted to share it with you because you can adapt it with supplies from Stampin' Up! that are still available ......

I had a lot of fun creating this card.  It was one of the cards we did in my May "Girls" Stamp-A-Stack.  What little (or not so little) girl wouldn't love to receive this on her birthday?????  You could adapt it to any colour scheme if your girly girl is not into pinks.
To make the background, I put my Pretty In Pink ink pad directly on the inside of the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and smooshed it around to spread the ink.  Then ran the white cardstock through my Big Shot.  I did not use a brayer as I wanted the distressed look.

Stamps:  Summer Silhouettes, Netting background stamp (R), Henry Says (sentiment) (R), Woodgrain background stamp
Ink:  Pretty In Pink (R), Real Red
Paper:  Whisper White, Pool Party, Pretty In Pink (R), Silver Glimmer, Red Glimmer
Other:  Honeycomb EF, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (R), 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Soda Pop Top (R), 1/2" Circle Punch, Cupcake Punch, Elegant Lines EF (R)

Makes me want to make some cupcakes.  I recently had an Open House Tea Party to reveal the new 2013-14 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and I made 146 Mini Cupcakes.  They were sooooo cute, and boy did we have a fabulous day.  We even did a make 'n take which I will share with you next post.

Happy Stampin' ....

Giraffe Punchie

Well, I am back!  I have been gone for a while, we went to Disneyland for 6 days and had such an awesome time.  I took two more things off my "bucket list".  First hubby and I tried a Funnel Cake.  Our first time, and oh man it was delicious!  The second thing was to ride "California Screamin'" in California Adventure Land.  Now that was totally AWESOME.  We went with my sister and her family who love that type of ride, after the frst time I was hooked and rode it 5 more times.  Thank goodness for "FastPass" tickets!
I thought I would share a picture with you before I get onto today's card .....
I am the one in the back row on the right hand side.  This was trip #2.  The rest are my sister, her daughter and her hubby.
Now onto today's card......

On Tuesday I am having my Monthly Punchie Class. This month we are doing this cute giraffe, and tomorrow I will share the second card with you.  This image is so tall I had to make a longer card to fit it on, so it fits into a #10 envelope (9" x 4" finished size).
Stamps:  Family Phrases
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Other:  Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Build A Cupcake XL punch, Tasteful Trim die, daubers
I used the cupcake top from the cupcake punch to make the clouds, and the Tasteful Trim die to make the grass.  A very quick and easy card to make once you have the punchie image completed.
Thanks for coming back for a visit today.

UPDATE: I heard from the originator of this awesome punchie.  Her name is Bonnie (she is very talented) and HERE is a link to her blog where you can purchase the tutorial on this Giraffe.  Thanks, Bonnie, for letting me know you are the creator.

Cupcake Happy Birthday Card

I saw this card at a recent get together at Barb Tripp's home where a bunch of us demos got together to prepare for the Vancouver Regional Seminar.  I asked Barb if I could case the card and she was graceful enough to allow me to.  Barb does not have a blog (yet!) so I can't send you that way, but she is a very talented papercrafter.  She is the one I also cased THIS card from.
This card uses the new Create A Cupcake set and Build A Cupcake Punch by Stampin' Up!  I fought cupcakes for a couple of years now, saying they were not my "style".  Ha!  Now I have the set and the punch and absolutely LOVE them both.  Check yesterday's post where I made my newest batch of Thank You cards using the set and punch.
Here is my card ........
Barb's original card used Cherry Cobbler and Love Letters DSP.  I used Mellon Mambo and the SAB designer paper Ice Cream Parlor.  I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones, because you know me, Bling is Better!
Stamps:  Create A Cupcake, Tiny Tags
Ink:  Mellon Mambo, Pretty In Pink
Paper:  Ice Cream Parlor DSP
Cardstock:  Mellon Mambo, Whisper White
Other:  Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Build A Cupcake Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Basic Rhinestones, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Modern Label Punch, Eyelette Border Punch
Have a great day and Happy Stampin' ....................

Latest Thank You cards

All of my customers get a hand made Thank You card from me for any order they submit.  Each card they receive is different, and this is the latest one .....

I used the new Create A Cupcake set and Build A Cupcake Punch.  The background is stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot which you can get for RREE as a Sale-A-Bration Item, but only until March 31st.  The cherry is punched out of Real Red Glimmer paper!
The sentiment I made using Thank You from Occasional Quotes, and with a cherry on top from A Word For You set.  I think it really goes well with the cupcake image!
Thanks for visiting, Happy Stampin' .......................................
