My Friend Embossed card - CASEd

A while ago I saw a card similar to this one on someone's blog (sorry I searched but can't remember whose it was, if it belongs to you please email me so I can give you proper credit).  I changed it a bit by changing the punch used and adding Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz to the front ....
You can't really see the bling of the spritz, but it IS there!
Stamps:  My Friend
Ink:  Versa Mark
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Other:  Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, Eyelette Border punch, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz
I love all the new embossing powders that Stampin' Up! has come out with now.  And they match our cardstock, inks and markers too!  Life can't get  much better. ....

Strength and Hope card share

Yesterday was the most beautiful day of the year so far. Hubby did not have to work until 2 pm so we did some touristing in Sicamous. We went to the golf club restaurant and had their Sunday Buffet, then we did a round of golf. The temperature was in the mid teens, there was not a cloud in the sky anywhere. We had such fun golfing, the course here is great for a relaxing round. Here is a picture of our trailer parked beside the golf course. In front of the trailer is hole no. 4, and behind the trailer about 15 feet runs the Eagle River. There are only 4 trailers here and two are unoccupied at the moment. Talk about pure bliss!

Today I decided to create another Strength and Hope card for my June Stamp-A-Stack. I got out the pinks to keep with the Breast Cancer theme of this very versatile set.
I used the Eyelette Border Punch on the bottom of the Pretty In Pink layer, then used it again to create the strip flower embellishment. I cut a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock 1-1/8`wide and punched it on both sides. Then I added some Basic Pearls in the middle to finish it off. I also did a LOT of spritzing with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz on most of the layers of this card. The bling IRL is quite amazing!
Here is the butterfly up closer ....

and the twine and punch embellies ....
Stamps: Strength And Hope
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose
Paper: Presto Patterns Specialty DSP
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose
Other: Basic Pearls, White Baker`s Twine, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Eyelette Border Punch, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz
I hope you were able to get out yesterday and enjoy the outdoors. We move tomorrow to Kelowna, BC which is in the sunny Okanagan Valley. We will be camped alongside Okanagan Lake. Don`t think it will be swimmable at this time of the year, but I hope to at least dunk my toes in the water!

Nature Walk Birthday Wishes

This card came together so nice and quick and easy.  I knew what colours I wanted to use and what stamp set.  Then I decided to make the ruffle around the oval with the Eyelette Border punch.
I cut an 11 x 1/2" strip of Blushing Bride cardstock, then punched it with the Eyelette Border punch.  Then I put adhesive along the unpunched edge and cut between each scallop to within 1/8" or so of the punched part starting on the unpunched edge (hope that is clear).  By adhering one scallop, bending the strip at the cut, and adhering the next scallop, you can go around almost any shape you want.  An instant scallop edge!  For the sentiment, I punched out 3 Scallop Oval punches in Blushing Bride and adhered them whole and cut up to fully frame the Wide Oval sentiment.
I also added some Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz on the whisper white layer, then used a texture plate on that layer while the cardstock was still damp from the spritz.  It sure makes the impression deeper.  And the shimmer from the spritz will brighten anyone's day!
I inked the butterfly in Blushing Bride then used the Perfect Plum marker to add some colour to it.
Stamps:  Nature Walk, Absolutely Fabulous
Ink:  Perfect Plum (for the sentiment but I stamped it off first on scrap paper so it is not so dark), Blushing Bride
Markers:  Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Blushing Bride
Other:  Backgrounds 1 Texture Plate, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, Eyelette Border Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Ovals die
Thanks for visiting today.  I hope your weekend was great.  I went to visit my Mom on her 84th birthday.  We had Dairy Queen Strawberry Sundaes instead of cake because she loves ice cream!

Cupcake Happy Birthday Card

I saw this card at a recent get together at Barb Tripp's home where a bunch of us demos got together to prepare for the Vancouver Regional Seminar.  I asked Barb if I could case the card and she was graceful enough to allow me to.  Barb does not have a blog (yet!) so I can't send you that way, but she is a very talented papercrafter.  She is the one I also cased THIS card from.
This card uses the new Create A Cupcake set and Build A Cupcake Punch by Stampin' Up!  I fought cupcakes for a couple of years now, saying they were not my "style".  Ha!  Now I have the set and the punch and absolutely LOVE them both.  Check yesterday's post where I made my newest batch of Thank You cards using the set and punch.
Here is my card ........
Barb's original card used Cherry Cobbler and Love Letters DSP.  I used Mellon Mambo and the SAB designer paper Ice Cream Parlor.  I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones, because you know me, Bling is Better!
Stamps:  Create A Cupcake, Tiny Tags
Ink:  Mellon Mambo, Pretty In Pink
Paper:  Ice Cream Parlor DSP
Cardstock:  Mellon Mambo, Whisper White
Other:  Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Build A Cupcake Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Basic Rhinestones, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Modern Label Punch, Eyelette Border Punch
Have a great day and Happy Stampin' ....................
