Magnolia Card - Tilda With Umbrella

Today I decided to follow the instructions in the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial for a Center Step card.  I am still stuck in the Elegant Soiree designer paper rut, so out it came again.  I am excited that Stampin' Up! is not going to retire the buttons this year.  I have some and want to use them on more class cards.  Now I can!
This card uses a non Stampin' Up! main image.  It is Tilda With Umbrella from the 2010 Bon Voyage Collection. . . . . . .
I stamped Tilda in StazOn on Stampin' Up! watercolour paper.  Then coloured her with my Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Pen (colours listed below).  I used nestabilities Labels 4 Small (largest one) to cut her out, then used Labels 4 (largest one) to cut a mat, which I spritzed with Champagen Mist Shimmer Spritz (you can just see the shimmer a bit).  I added 5 Naturals Designer Buttons (Stampin' Up!) on each side of the step, and put a circle of Baja Breeze under each one before I glued it on the DSP.  I stamped "Dot Dot Dot" in Baja Breeze on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and put it behind the mat.  The mat and the image piece are popped up on dimensionals.
Here's a closer view of the buttons .......
And a closer view of the stamped and coloured image ......

Inside I used another piece of Elegant Soiree DSP and cut a Top Note Die out of Very Vanilla.  I stamped a stamp that comes from a retired stamp set - Sweet Summer - in Early Espresso and coloured it with Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers.......
Marker colours used:
   Hair - Daffodil Delight
   Skin - Blushing Bride
   Pants - Not Quite Navy
   Shirt - Baja Breeze
   Shoes - Crumb Cake
Umbrella - Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake
   Grass - Pear Pizzazz
Thanks for visiting, Happy Stampin' ... ... ...

Magnolia Card - Loves Me Tilda

Every month Magnolia-Licious Highlights blog has a challenge.  I have not had the time to participate in one yet, but this month is different.  There is a sketch by Suzanne Dean this month and I created a card with the sketch and I am entering it in the challenge.
Here's my card, it uses the Magnolia image "Loves Me Tilda" ...... ..... .....

Here is an up close picture of the coloured image.  I used Copic Markers this time ....

And the flower treatment from the bottom left hand corner.  I punched, coloured and shaped the flowers by hand.
The butterfly is a "MS" punch.  I double punched it and glued it together at the body.  Then added some bling.

Another view.  You can just see the inside on this one.

This is a picture of the inside.

And an upclose view of the flowers inside the card.

I used Stampin' Up! cardstock, designer paper and basic rhinestones to creat this card.
Stamps: Magnolia - Loves Me Tilda
Ink:  Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Memento Black
Paper:  Beyond The Garden DSP
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, Irridescent White
Other:  MS Butterfly punch, Flower punches, Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Fun Flowers Die, 2 Step Bird Punch
Colouring:  Copic Sketch Markers
Thanks for visiting today.  Happy Stampin' ......

Christmas All Year Long - Magnolia Blog Hop - April 2011

Here we are again on the 25th of the month, doing our monthly Magnolia-Licious Christmas All Year Long blog hop.  Welcome to my blog.  If you arrived here from Danielle Champagne's blog, you are on the right track.  If not, and you would like to start at the beginning, click on THIS LINK to return you to the beginning of the hop.
My card for you today uses So Heavenly Tilda from the 2008 So Heavenly, Travel and School Collection.  You do not need to have one of the images from a Christmas collection to create a Christmas card.  I also used the Silent Night background from the 2008 Santa collection.
Here is my card for you ....

I brayered the Whisper White cardstock background with Cherry Cobbler, then Bravo Burgundy and finally Chocolate Chip.  Then I distressed all the edges, then really got into the vintage thing and ripped and tore a whole lot.  Then I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink again.  Then I stamped the Silent Night backgrround stamp in Basic Black.  That is layered onto Basic Black cardstock on an Always Artichoke card base.
I stamped So Heavenly Tilda on Irridescent Cryogen paper and coloured her with Copic Sketch markers.  Then I cut her out.  I used Diamond Stickles on her wings and a White Sharpie Poster Pen for the dots on her nightie.  When I put her on the card, she blended in too much, so I put a Whisper White oval behind her.  I think it kind of looks like she is in the moonlight.

Here is a closer view of the ribbon treatment ....

And the sentiment.  I also brayered this piece of Whisper White cardstock, then adding some Basic Rhinestones for a bit of bling....
And finally the inside of the card - I used some Deck The Halls DSP (now retired) from Stampin' Up!

All supplies are Stampin' Up! except for the image, the image paper, and the colouring.
Thanks for visiting and hopping along on our blog hop.  Your next stop is Jessica Hammond's blog, I know she will have a super cute creation for you today.

Magnolia Card - Tilda and Her Bunny

Welcome!  I hope you are all ready for Easter (or a long weekend if you don't observe Easter).  I decided to colour the Magnolia image "Tilda and Her Bunny" for Easter cards for our children this year.  I used StazOn black ink to stamp the image onto Stampin' Up! Watercolour Paper. Then I used Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Pen to colour the image.  This one is so darned cute!!!
I had just finished doing a Brayering Class and had this card sitting out on my craft table.  I thought it would make a great background for the image.  I coloured this image almost 2 weeks ago now, and have only just had the time to put them (have to make 2 cards) onto cards.  HERE is where I originally posted details and pictures of this card. Here is an closer view of the coloured image for you .....
Since this picture, I put some Liquid Applique on the bunny tale and heated it so it puffed up.  Oh my the tail is so cute!!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog today.  I always appreciate your comments and love reading each and every one of them.
Happy Easter to you and your family......

Magnolia Card - Hello Little Butterfly Spring Card

Yesterday in Tofino, it was a steady downpour. I decided it was time to create my submission for the Magnolia-Licious Spring Extravaganza Contest, and chose Option #1 - Full Size Magnolia Image.  This is what I came up with, remember I am in our trailer, away from home, so don't have all my supplies with me.  But had enough I think ......
This is one of the new images from the 2011 Butterfly Dreams Collection called "Hello Little Butterfly".  And there on the top of her bow on her back is the butterfly.  I used Diamond Stickles over top of it to make it stand out a bit.  Here it is a bit closer ....

Here is a closer view of the Tild image ....
I used Stampin' Up! Watercolour Paper, Stampin' Write Markers, and an Aqua Pen to colour her in.  I used Blush Blossom, Pretty In Pink, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip.
Now for a closer view of the flowers .....

For the bigger ones, I used the Island Floral Die, and the smaller ones are from the Boho Blossom Punch (both from Stampin' Up!) and both are in Daffodil Delight.  The bigger ones have a glimmer brad in the middle, and the smaller ones have mini brads.  The leaves are by a MS punch and I used Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.   I also added flowers on 3 of the corners of the layer under the Tilda image.  I used the now retired Trio Flower punch in Poppy Parade, then added glimmer brads to the middle of them.
The Designer Series Paper is Summer Garden and I layered it with Poppy Parade cardstock.  I used Labels Four Nestabilities to cut out the image and layer it.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you are having a drier day than I am.  Won't be walking on the beach today!!!!
Happy Stampin'  ...................

Christmas All Year Long - Magnolia Blog Hop - February 2011

Welcome back to another Christmas All Year Long blog hop featuring Magnolia Stamps.  If you have arrived here from Danielle's blog you are on the right track.  If not, HERE is the link back to the start at the Magnolia-Licious Christmas All Year Long blog and start at the beginning.  You don't want to miss any of these darling creations.
I used Wrapped Tilda (2009 So Jolly So Snowy Collection) and put her sitting on top of the Sugar Bag (2010 Raise the Ceiling / Right Through My Heart Collection).  I wanted to go all white so that the Tilda image pops out at you.  I did end up putting a bit of colour on the card, but I don't think it takes away from the image at all ......
I used mostly Stampin' Up! supplies for this card - the cardstock, the ribbon, the embossing folders, the punch, the pearls, and the beads.  Here is an up close look at the coloured image (coloured with Copics - I will list them at the end of this post).....
I used Suzanne Dean's tip of putting a warm gray over top of the red to make it less bright and I love the result.  I used some red Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink to the flower centers on the layer I embossed with the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder, you can see them a bit in this picture. And a closer look at the ribbon and bead treatment on the left hand side of the card ....
I generated the sentiment on my computer and punched it out with the Stampin' Up! Jewelry Tag punch, of course I had to add a pearl to the top where they intersect, it just needed it!  I also added LOTS and LOTS of pearls to this card.  Some of them are from the Pretties Kit (now retired) and some are Basic Pearls.  The beads are from the Pretties Kit and the pearl headed stick pin I bought somewhere, but can't remember where.
There are 3 layers on the cardfront of this card, and I spritzed all layers with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint Spritz (make with 70% Rubbing Alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint).  I also distressed the first layer on the outside, and the inside layer.  Oh lala, talk about bling!  I tried to take a picture of it, but as usual it does not show up very well, but here's the picture anyways ....
The inside is also white, I did not add any sentiment as I will do that when I decide who will adopt this card at Christmas time ...
And this is the top page of the inside, I puched out some snowflakes on Stampin' Up! Shimmer White cardstock using the Northern Frost decorative strip die ....

Of course I had to add pearls to the inside of this card as well.
Stamps: Magnolia - Wrapped Tilda, Sugar Bag
Ink:  Memento Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, XPress Blending paper (images stamped on)
Colouring:  Copic Sketch Markers
Other:  Embossing Folders - Petals-A-Plenty, Northern Flurry; White Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Pretties Kit (retired), Red Smooch Paint, Jewelry Tag Punch, Distress Tool, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Frosted Lace Stickles, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, Sharpie White Poster Pen
Thank you very much for visiting us on the Monthly Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop.  Your next stop is Jean Hemple.  I know she will have a great card for you.  Bye for now, see you all next month!  (Yipeee I now have 2 Christmas cards done!!!)

Sitting Angel Tilda - Magnolia Card

Ah another fabulous day In My Craft Room.  This time I used Sitting Angel Tilda and sat her on Tilda's Table.  She is stamped on Xpress Blending Cardstock in Memento Ink and coloured with Copic Markers.  I made this one for the Friday Sketchers Challenge #142.
 Here's the card ... .... .....

This was a great sketch to work with, the card just seemed to create itself!  Here is a picture of the coloured Tilda image up close ...

and a picture of the ribbon and bow treatment on the left hand side ...

And this picture is of the flower in the top right hand corner.  I took a Prima flower and folded it to create the first (green) layer, then another Prima flower (orange), then a Stampin' Up! Brights button (yellow) on which I tied a bow with piece of white wool.  This one also shows one of the four Brights Glimmer Brads I used in the corners.

Next is a picture of the pearl swirl I used (Prima Marketing) and the sentiment.  I used Tiny Tags by Stampin' Up! and stamped it in Basic Black, then punched it out with the Stampin' Up! Jewelry Tag punch.  Then I added a Basic Pearl to it.
This next picture shows what I did on the inside.  I used a MS punch (corner and straight) to punch a piece of Whisper White cardstock, then I put a piece of the Bali Breeze DSP (retired).  The side where I will put the writing is a Top Note Die out of Whisper White and I put some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon  around the middle.  The stamp is part of the free stamp set I got for Sale-A-Bration - Sweet Summer.

I think I could have done a better job of colouring Tilda's leggings.  Oh well, live and learn.  Each time I colour one of these images, I learn something.  The main thing I learned while doing this one, is that I need more Copics!!!
Copics used:
Clothes - YR0000, YR02, YR07; Socks - G0000, G21; Skin - E000, E11, E00; Cheeks - R20; Hair - Y0000, Y11, Y21, E97, E99; Bench - E53, E33, E99, E25; Tablecloth - B0000, B91, B95
Bye for now, I hope your day is as awesome as mine will be!  I have some super ladies coming over to create some punchie images In My Craft Room!!!!

Featured Stamper - Heather's Birthday Card

In January each year we celebrate Elvis's birthday along with my Dear Hubby's birthday.  This year he received a super Magnolia card from our son and his wife.  Heather created another Edwin card using Copic Markers.  This time it is Edwin With Binoculars ....
Heather also used "Rowboat" another Magnolia image.  Both images are cut out and attached to the card.  Edwin is up on Dimensionals.  I hope you enjoy a few of my "featured stampers" cards.  Happy Stampin'

Featured Stamper - Heather's Christmas Card

This is a card we got from our Daughter-In-Law for Christmas.  She has discovered Magnolia stamps and Copic Markers.  The snowflakes are a MS punch.  Here is her card ....
The background paper is the now retired "Bride" DSP by Stampin' Up! and she has added Dazzling Diamonds glitter as well.  Edwin on a Sled is so cute. Thanks, Heather, for the great card.
