I shared Dapper Denim in THIS blog post last Friday, and today I am sharing Flirty Flamingo ....

There are sure a lot of talented stampers in Stampin' Up! land.  Thank you so much to all of them, for sharing their creations.  I will be casing some of them.  Did you see the scrapbook page in the middle of the third picture?  It uses the Botanical Builder Dies and it is fabulous.

These great colours will be debuting on Wed June 1st when the new catalogue goes live!  I can't wait!!!

Video Thursday - Party Pop Up Dies by Stampin' Up!

Hello Everyone!

I have been focusing on retiring products from Stampin' Up! in my last few blog posts. So I thought I would highlight something that is continuing on in the new 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.....  The Party Pop Up Dies!  I love these dies and the effect they have on the receiver when they open their card.  Some of us just can't stop playing with them ....  open, close ..... open, close .... open, close .... lol

Here's the video on how to use them ...

Here are three cards I created using these great dies ...

The first card, I cut out the pop up die with Happy Birthday on it, then cut it out and used it on the front.  Then I added the Hip Hip Hooray one inside.  There are itty bitty pieces of paper behind the swirly things to add a bit of colour ....

This one uses the not retiring Confetti Embossing Folder (Yay!!) and Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Bouquet Punch.

Do you see all the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper squiggles on this next card? We cut them out using the Hip Hip Hooray die.  The great news is that in the new 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue there is a punch to do this!!!!  Yippee ....  I also used the Hip Hip Hooray die to cut out some Blushing Bride letters for the front of the card .....

EMAIL ME if you would like a recipe for any of these cards.  CLICK HERE to go to my online store to order your very own set of dies, or any of the other wonderful products showcased here. The Host Code for this month is VXXCHFN4.

Peek A Boo HIdden Message Technique Card Share

Hello Everyone!

This past Monday, was my April Technique Class. We did Peek A Boo Hidden Message cards.  I watched a video done by Dawn Griffith on how to do the mechanism part.  One of my downline, Carla, came over for an afternoon of stamping and we created these two great cards.  The video is at the end of my post.

Here are the two cards we made ....

This first one uses some retiring products (Cdn $)
  It's My Party DSP #140552 - $32.00 for 48 sheets
  Baker's Twine Combo Pack (Black/Melon, Black/Mint Macaron) #140555 $8.25
The next two items can be purchased in a bundle so you will save 15%
  #141073 $45.75 wood or #141071 $37.25 (clear mount)
  Party Wishes stamp set #140651 - $33.00 (wood)  #140961 - $23.00 (clear mount)
Party Punch Pack punches #140608 $21.00

This next card also uses a couple of retiring items:
Tea Lace Paper Doilies #129399 $3.75  for 24 doilies
  Iced Rhinestone Embellishments #139637 $6.25

The great news is that the Botanical Blooms stamp set and Botanical Builder Dies will be in the new Annual Catalogue, but they will no longer be bundled.

Here's the video for you ....

Let me know if you would like the recipe for either of these cards.

Stampin' Up! Retiring List Highlight - Serene Silhouettes

Hello Ladies

Here is another spotlight on a retiring Stampin' Up! stamp set.  This one is called Serene Silhouettes, and it is very serene!

Here's the set ... (click on it to go to my online store)

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=127324&dbwsdemoid=2028928
Here is a card we recently did in my Monthly Stampin' Class, this card was created by Dawn Griffith from Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts- she has a video on how to create this amazing card.

The technique is called "Shadow Stamping" and you can do it with pretty much any stamp, but it really looks great using Serene Silhouettes. The sentiment is from Rose Wonder and the Die is from the Rose Garden dies.

Here is another one I made a long time ago, I believe I received the original in a swap somewhere ....

I made this one from Pinterest ...

And a couple more I pulled from Pinterest showing the other images in this set .....

This set will only be around until May 22, then it is while supplies last until May 31st.  Then it will be gone for good.  CONTACT ME if you would like to order this set, or CLICK HERE to go to my online store to place an order yourself.  Host Code this month is VXXCHFN4.

Sneak Peek Friday - 2016-18 In Colour Display Boards

Hello Everyone!

As promised yesterday, I will be sharing a couple of the display boards from OnStage Live in Salt Lake City.  These boards carry all types of projects made using some of the brand new products coming up in the new 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Today I will share with you the Dapper Denim display board ...

Dapper Denim is one of the new 2016-18 In Colours.  Isn't it amazing?
And aren't the creators talented!  I was talking to one of the ones who created some samples for one of the boards and she was telling me how daunting it is to create projects for demonstrators. I truly appreciate their efforts and applaud the samples.  They are wonderful.

May is Masculine Card Month in my studio.  All the projects at my events all month long will be masculine.  Come to my class(es) and you will be set for a while with those pesky masculine cards.

Stampin' Up! Retiring List HIghlight - By The Tide

Hello Everyone!

The 2016 Stampin' Up! Retiring List posted on Monday.  There are so many retiring products, that it can be overwhelming.

So I thought I would highlight a few of my very favourite products over the next few weeks.

CLICK HERE to see the Retiring List, it is updated a few times a day. The stamp sets are guaranteed to be available until May 22, then they are while supplies last.  All of the other products are while supplies last, which means, if you are "needing" to order something, please do it soon before it is sold out.  Once they are gone, they are gone forever.

Here is my first stamp set from the retiring list, one of my favourites because of where we live.  We live on the ocean on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.  We are very blessed to live here, so anything nautical is on my Must Have list.

This stamp set is called By The Tide.  Here is a picture of the set ...

This set is available in rubber either wood mounted or classic clear mounted.

Annual Catalogue - page 82
Wood Mount               #131910     $34.00
Classic Clear Mount     #129120    $25.00

Here's a card I received in a swap, using this amazing set ....

Here's the recipe for the card ...

Stamp Sets:    By The Tide, Bloom With Hope (sentiment)
Ink:  Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, VersaMark, So Saffron, Soft Sky
Paper:  Pool Party 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
            Basic Black 5 x 3-3/4
            Whisper White 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 and 4-5/8 x 3-3/8
Other:  Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (retiring), Deco Label Dies (retiring), Modern Label Punch (gone but you could use the Washi Tape punch which is also retiring), White Embossing Powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Pearls, sponges for Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Soft Sky, Dauber for So Saffron, 1" circle punch, post it note.

To create the background you punch a hole in the post it note with the 1" circle punch and sponge so saffron ink into the hole to create the sun.
Stamp the coral in VersaMark and emboss with white embossing powder
Sponge the Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Soft Sky onto the background.
Stamp the fish in Pool Party
Use the Deco Label to cut the whisper white piece, then run it through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder
Lightly sponge soft sky ink over the raised dots
Stamp the sentiment in Pool Party and punch it out
The embossed piece is popped up over the background using dimensionals
Layer that onto the basic black piece, then adhere to the card base
Voila!  You are done.

If you would like to order any of the above products, please CLICK HERE and go to my online store.  Or you can EMAIL ME and I would be happy to place an order for you.

Please use the Host Code VXXCHFN4 and I will send you a special surprise in the mail.  Don't use the code if your order is over $200 (Cdn $) as you will qualify for Stampin' Rewards.

Hope you get a chance to stamp with By The Tide!  Here's one more card for you ....

Sneak Peek Friday - White and Silver Botanical Bundle CASEd Card Share

Hello Everyone!

Still at OnStage Live in Salt Lake City.  I would imagine I have the brand new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue in my hot little hands by now.  I have this set to post while I am away, but I will share what I can when I get home.

We get sneak peeks of new products during this 3 day event, but I can't share a lot of them with you due to Stampin' Up! policies.  But they do let us share some things, and I will.

Today's sneak peek is a couple of cards we will be making at my Monthly Stampers Club get together this coming up Wednesday.

I cased the first card from the very talented Dawn Griffith (I know, I do that a lot, but her cards are amazing), the second card was a challenge from our Hostess this month to use the Owl Builder Punch.  If you click on the top card, it will take you to Dawn's Video Tutorial.

I will be back next week to share the cards with you.
