Friday Collaboration Card With The Flowering Rain Boots Bundle!

 Hi Friends!

Once again we had a fun filled evening of collaborative stamping on Friday night!

This time we used the soon to be retiring Flowering Rain Boots bundle. We used the card below, by Tamara Bertram, as our inspiration.

I challenged them to remake this card using choices made by all the viewers.

Some viewers are part of my VIP Facebook Group and they get to join me on Zoom.

Some viewers catch the live stream on my facebook page or in the group. Everyone's opinion is valued, and we vote on the most popular choice as we go along.

It's amazing how wonderful most of the cards turn out.

How To Make A Triple Twisted Easel Card With Video Tutorial

 Hi Friends!

I recently did a facebook live stamping demonstration and shared how I created this beautiful Triple Twisted Easel Card using the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle.

This is a very pretty fun fold, but caution! make sure you do the scoring for the "flaps" the correct way or your card won't work. But once you get it, you are on your way to creating beautiful cards with a different type of fold.

I used the Flowering Rain Boots bundle and stamped a LOT of tulips. Then I used Wink Of Stella to colour them. Do you see how the Poppy Parade tulips have a lovely yellow glow in the background?  Yup that's what happens when you add Wink of Stella to Poppy Parade ink, and I love it!

Just Use That Designer Paper With Flowering Rain Boots Bundle

 Hi Friends!

This is a great way to use up all that lovingly treasured designer paper!

I shared how to do this card with my Seniors Group yesterday. We even used more of the beaufiful Expressions In Ink designer paper and created a custom envelope!

Here's what you need for this card:

Expressions In Ink DSP 11 x 4 scored at 5-1/2 x 11 (for card base)

Basic White 3 x 4 and 3-1/2 x 5 (inside)

Calypso Coral 1 x 4

White Frayed Ribbon 3" - then I unwound it to make the feathery ribbon you see poking out on the left hand side. Leave about 1/2 an inch at one end that is unfrayed so you can adhere the ribbon to the card

Ink:  Memento, Shaded Spruce, Calypso Coral

Wink of Stella (cuz no card is done until the Winky is added ;)

The designer paper is folded on the 5-1/2" score line, then the 11" score line is folded back so you get to see both sides of the paper on the front. I layered a bit of Calypso Coral under the flap to stabilize it and add more interest.

A Class Re-Useable Layout With Flowering Rain Boots!

 Hi Friends!

Today's card uses one of those classic layouts that work for many different cards.

I shared how to create this card with my Team during our January Stamping and Recognition Night.

With this layout you can choose any theme, any colours, use designer paper or not, and it works with any stamp set.

 

If you don't have the Tailored Tag dies, no problem! Just cut a white piece of cardstock approximately the same size as the tag and use that. Punch a hole in the top for the ribbon and you are off to the races!

 

Here's what you need to create this card:

Base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 3

Cardstock 5-1/4 x 1

Basic White 5-1/45 x 4 (inside)

2-3/4 x 4-3/4 (pieces)

2-1/4 x 4-1/2 (tag)

5/8 x 4 (sentiment)

Ribbon 7-1/2" to wrap around and 3" for the tag

Twine 4"

Flowering Rain Boots Collaboration Card and Colour Challenge

 

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our Crafty Challenge Blog Hop!  Our challenge this month is to use Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather in a project.

I brought this challenge to my Collaboration Night on Friday in my facebook VIP Group and viewers directed me to create this beautiful card using the amazing Flowering Rain Boots bundle.

We decided to add Cajun Craze and Gray Granite to the mix and stamped the pots in those colours.

They also decided to make the inside almost as pretty as the outside. We even used dimensionals inside!  That's something that is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I love it.

 During the process of creating this card, the viewers get to vote on various aspects, colours, layout, etc. They make the decisions and my hands do the work. We fondly call this "taking Glenda out of her comfort zone night", and it is so much fun!

At least once a month I get together virtually with my wonderful Team. We are called the Craft Room Stampers, and they keep me going when my creative reserves are low.

 

When we get together we always stamp or some version of papercrafting. Sometimes a Team Member has an amazing project to share with us, and sometimes I share something.

 

Last month we created with a layout and a recipe. I created this beautiful card I created using the super pretty Flowering Fields designer paper.

How To Use The Same Layout For Many Different Cards

This past Monday I shared how to use one layout to create many different cards. All you need to do is change the designer paper, colour theme, stamp set/bundle and you have a new card.

This is the card I originally started with back in December when I created some thinking of you cards for a business that commissions my cards  .....

  

Then it progressed to this card that I made for a swap I was in   ....

And finally this one .... I love the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle!

This is the card I created on Monday night for my Make It With Me Monday Live Stamping in my VIP Group. I pulled out the Tulip Fields bundle and used those gorgeous Windmill Fields Dies. They are spectacular!
