My Stampin' Up! Journey

Hello, and welcome to my Blog!

Are you like me and find time on your hands since you Retired, or your Children left home, or you are recently alone?  I can help you find an activity that you can do year around, and produce beautiful greeting cards to send to friends, family and loved ones.

My name is Glenda Mollet, and I have been a Canadian Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2007.  I live on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada in a smallish town called Port Alberni. We are on the Pacific Ocean, but almost in the centre of the island. Our delightful town is down a long canal with lots of water activities.

My husband, Ted, and I love to spend time with our Children and Grand Children.  We have 2 Sons, and 4 Grand Children (3 Grand Sons and 1 Grand Daughter), and we love to camp with them in our trailer.

We have been "empty nesters" for a long time. I was looking for something to fill my time and express my creativity outside of work.  Then I found stamping. My sister in law sent me a hand made card for my birthday and I loved it. Then a neighbour gave me a mini squash album for the same birthday, and the instructions on how to do it. Darn her!  I was hooked then. I dove right in and started making those squash albums for all of my family. As I look back on those albums, I see the desire to make others happy with my new "hobby".

I discovered Stampin' Up! by searching the web. Luckily there was a Demonstrator near where I was at the time, and she popped over with the catalogue.  I ordered the Lovely As A Tree stamp set, some Always Artichoke cardstock, and a VersaMark ink pad and proceeded to create my Christmas cards that year. It wasn't too long after that I became a Demonstrator and started sharing through my classes.

Sharing stamping, and expressing our creativity allows us to send "hugs in the mail" to our family and friends.
