I had a chance, this week, to use the Mojo Monday Sketch #216.  Here is the card I came up with ....

The Open Sea Birthday Wishes

Another day to play In My Craft Room, how lucky am I?  Today's card share is from the set "The Open Sea" which is not in any of the current catalogues.  Stampin' Up! calls it a "Write In" which means it was in the last mini, it did not make it into the new main catalogue but is still available!  Yippeeeee.

I used the new Pewter Embossing Powder available in the Holiday Mini Catalogue on the anchors.  Then I wanted some brads to match, well I did not have any handy, so I used some 5/16" Silver Brads and now I can't wait to "dye" more with the other coloured embossing powders....

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party

Other:  Stripes Embossing Folder, Pewter Embossing Powder, 5/16" Silver Brad, Decorative Label Punch,White Baker's Twine, Aqua Pen

I used an Aqua Pen and washed the background behind the ship with Pool Party ink.  The ship is stamped on regular white cardstock, I did not use Watercolour paper. I used very little water when washing the ink so it did not harm the cardstock..

   Whisper White - 5.5 x 8.5

   Island Indigo - 5.25 x 4

   Pool Party - 3-5/8 x 3-1/8

   Whisper White - 3.5 x 3

I sure wish the Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz showed in the pictures!  But oh my, it is so blingy.  I spritzed the entire cardfront as well as the flower image.  I am so excited that this flower image coordinates with the Scallop Circle punch, so you don't have to fussy cut it out!
Then I used the same layout and colours and just changed up the embossing folder to the new
   Stripes Embossing Folder - page 218; Item 123128; $9.95
I also stamped the flower image 3 times, and hand cut out two layers then used one of the
   Brights Designer Button - page 197; Item 119747; $10.95

Flower Garden Embossed Birthday Wishes

There has been a few awesome cards being shared lately, made with Stampin' Up!s new Flower Garden Embossing Folder.  Today I decided I would make my own version of this card. 

I spritzed the whisper white with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz before I embossed or stamped it.  I hope you can see some of the bling in this picture.

I also used on of the Subtles Glimmer Brads on the sentiment piece.

Inside I embossed and used the dauber again to match the outside of the card.

 Then I thought, why not do the envelope to match!  So I did ....

Today was a picture perfect day in the Okanagan Valley.  The temps were over 20 deg cel. and there was not a cloud in the sky.  I hope your day was just as perfect wherever you are!

Sweet Summer Birthday Wishes

Today I created a card using some FREE stuff I got during Sale-A-Bration.  The stamp set "Sweet Summer", the stamp set "So Happy For You", the ribbon "Ice Cream Parlor" and the buttons "Ice Cream parlor).  How much better can it get than FREE stuff to feed my obsession???  LOL  
Here is the card I created ............

I also used the Framed Tulip embossing folder.  Because the colours in the ribbon and buttons are so vibrant, I offset them with lots of Whisper White and just a touch of Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight.  I cut out the stamped flower heads, and popped them up on dimensionals.

It is raining cougars and wolves here today (harder than cats and dogs! LOL) and has been since yesterday afternoon.  The small creek that runs past our property is now flooding over the low lying areas as it usually does at this time of the year.  We jokingly say we now have waterfront property!  A great day to stay inside and create in my craft room.  I am going to the Vancouver Regional Event at the end of the month, so I have to get busy on my swaps. The swaps for roomies are all done, now have to do swaps for the general public.  I won't share those with you just yet, will after I get back.  Don't want to ruin the surprise!  If you are going to Vancouver, BC event, see you there.
