Valentine {please be mine}

Well not long now until the New Year!  2011 will be a great year, I can feel it in my bones.....  oh sorry, LOL, that is my "rumatizm" haha. I've been reading too many books, obviously!
Today I have a card that was based on one I saw on Stamp TV .  I decided to use the new Stampin' Up! Red Glitter Paper available starting January 4, 2011 in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Oh is it sparkley!

I used a lot of Nestabilities on this card.  The white parts are direct cut outs, the patterned paper pieces have been had cut to fit inside the white parts.  I also used the new Love Impressions DSP also available in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalogue by Stampin' Up!.  A bit of whisper white satin ribbon finishes the whole thing off.  I used a stampe from the stamp set "Holiday Best" in real red classic ink.  Lots of height on this card, I know it would take extra postage to mail it!

Because I Care - CASEd card

Hello everyone, I am back again with yet another CASEd card.  This one I received as sa thank you card from a fellow demonstrator on Vancouver Island - Lisa (Rankin) Gray.  I do not know if Lisa has a blog, but want to acknowledge her super work.

I used some Basic Rhinestones on my version, but basically the rest is the same.  The hydrangea image is stamped on Very Vanilla in Early Espresso ink, then ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  I did ink the edges of the very vanilla piece before I put it through the folder.  The butterfly is cut out from the Beautiful Butterflies die, then I stamped the Baroque Motif stamp in VersaMark and added clear embossing powder.  Then Marina Mist ink was sponged all over the butterfly, and wiped with a bit of Windex to take the ink residue off the embossing.  6 Basic Rhinestones were added for the body.  This is actually quite a quick card to make.  I hope you have had some time to do some serious crafting in your craft room this holiday season.  I have been having such fun casing cards from blogs, friend's cards, and the main catalogue as well.  I have also created a few of my own.  I will share these with you over the next few days.  Bye for now ... ... ...  Glenda Mollet

Card Organizer #5

Here is the very last of my Card Organizers for you.  This is #5 ... ... ...

I have been hoarding this retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper for a while.  It is called Ginger Blossom and had River Rock, Groovy Guava and Ruby Red in it.  So when the Colour Renovation happened in July to all of Stampin' Up!s colours, I was extatic to see that River Rock was coming back (now just need Groovy Guava too)!  The stamp is Embrace Life, also retired.  This is one of my all time favourite sets, and I don't think I will ever get rid of it.  The sentiment was cut out with Nestabilities Labels Thirteen.  I added Basic Rhinestones in the flower centers and the 3 diamonds across the center of the sentiment.  A few Little Leaves Die cut out from River Rock cardstock finishes it all off.  I also had some River Rock ribbon left over so added some of that too.  Again, its all bound with my Bind It All.
Ah, that's it for organizers.  I have also been doing some Mini Milk Carton Treat Holders, so will start that series tomorrow for you.  I will be back making cards real soon.  I got all my Christmas cards done, and addressed.  Now just have to put stamps on them, put letters into relatives ones, and get them in the mail.

Card Organizer #4

Here is Card Organizer #4 for you .... ..... ....

I used Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstocks for this one, and pulled out Cottage Wall DSP.  The current Rich Razzleberry 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon was just perfect on the front.  I used nestabilities again to cut out the sentiment, then I stamped one of the swirls from Stampin' Up!s set "Priceless" in Old Olive.  Before stamping it on the sentiment, I stamped it off on some scrap paper so it would be more muted.  I sponged some Rich Razzleberry around the sentiment piece before I popped it up on dimensionals on the front.  I used my Bind It All again to bind the entire thing together.
I love making these organizers, the insides are so simple, and the frame of the outside goes quickly.  Then you have lots of time left over to go wild with the embellishments and decorations on the front.

Card Organizer #3

James has gone home, we had such a great time!  I love pajama parties with an almost 3 yr old, and what happens at Gramma's house, stays at Gramma's house!  Ha.
Today I have card organizer #3 for you ... ... ...

 This one uses retired Stampin' Up! designer series paper "Bella Bleu", Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake cardstock and inks.  The flower stamps are part of the new Growing Green set.  In the middle of each flower is a Glimmer Brad from the Neutrals Collection.  I used Nestabilities Labels 2 and 3 to make the sentiment piece and the Not Quite Navy piece in behind.  I added a few Basic Pearls as well.  Here is an upclose picture of the ribbon and bow treatment and I tried to capture the sparkle from the Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz I used on the DSP.

Card Organizer #2

Back again, now its raining cats and dogs here.  Boy, you never can tell when you go to bed at night, what you will wake up to in the morning!
Here is the second Card Organizer folder I made for the upcoming Craft Fair ....

Some more retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.  This time it is Tea and Crumpets.  It has Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke in it. I chose some also retired Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon to adorne the front.  I cut the sentiment piece out with my Nestabilities Labels 1 and while the die was still on, I sponged around the inside of it with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  It leaves a lovely white border around the outside, I added 3 Basic Pearls to the sentiment piece (I printed the sentiment off on my computer).  I made a ribbon rose with the Chocolate Chip ribbon and put a Basic Pearl in the middle.  The ribbon / bow embellishment also has 3 Basic Pearls on each side of the bow.  Once again I used my Bind It All to bind the whole thing together.  The inside pages are made out of more Tea and Crumpets DSP.

Card Organizer #1

I hope you all got a chance to visit my blog yesterday for the last installment of Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop for 2010. I love creating with Tilda and Edwin.  I find it very relaxing.
Anyways, today I begin my series of Card Organizers I made for an upcoming Craft Sale.  Here is the first one ... ... ...

As these are for a craft fair, I used some retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper and some retired Stampin' Up! cardstocks.  I used my Bind It All to bind the whole thing together.  I used the SCS tutorial for making the inside pages.  But I used DSP instead of cardstock to make the pages. I used Nestabilities Label 5 and hand cut some of the flowers from the Island Oasis DSP.  For the black pieces I used my Fancy Favour Box die and just cut a strip along the fancy top part of the die.  It turned out great.  I hope you enjoy my next few posts of Card Organizers.
Thanks, hope you are staying warm and not snowed in.  I have had to shovel twice this week as my DH is out of town again.  I did enjoy the shovelling tho, because a couple of years ago DH bought a snow scoop and it makes shovelling so much easier on the back.  No visits to the chiropractor in my near future!

My First Magnolia Image Card

I fell in love with Magnolia images about a year ago. I have been fighting the pull ever since then. I knew when I started to stamp and colour these cute little images, I would be obsessed with them. Then the next step would be Copic Markers. Well, I finally took the plunge and made my very first Magnolia card. These cards are 5.5 x 5.5 inches (or 6x6 if you prefer). They have to be larger as the images are quite large. They originate in Sweden, and this is the size of cards they make in Europe. I think the image is called "Tilda With A Pink Heart", but I'm not sure. A friend gave me the stamped image. My colouring is HORRIBBBBLLLEEE, I am very sorry. It is my first attempt and I used Stampin' Write markers to colour her. They do not blend very well, and they were running outside the lines (or it may have been my colouring hahahaha).

Here's what I used:
Stamp: Magnolia Tilda With A Pink Heart and Rowboat

Ink: Memento Black, Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink

Markers: Pretty In Pink, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel, So Saffron, Blush Blossom, Close To Cocoa

Paper: Sending Love Specialty DSP

Cardstock: Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White

Other: Scallop Square punch, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Nestabilities dies, 1" Regal Rose Double Stitched ribbon, 1" circle punch, Candy Dots, White Signo Pen

I sponged Pretty In Pink ink around the large piece of DSP, then I sponged Regal Rose around both of the nesties diecuts. Tilda is sitting on the Rowboat image and is popped up on dimensionals.

Ok now I am hooked on cute cards. I think I will continue to produce them, and I must say I am now hooked on Magnolias (oh dear!!) This new specialty DSP from the new Occasions Mini catty is so delicious. I will be ordering some more of this luscious paper real soon. Each and every sheet has bling on it, can it get any better? Pink and Bling on the same page, oooohhhhh.
