Industrial Meets Romance: A Valentine Card with Gears, Hearts and Texture

 Hi Friends!

Today I’m sharing a handmade Valentine card that I created for my hubby using the Gears & Textures bundle.

This design combines bold red hearts with industrial-style gears and a chain element, creating a unique mix of romance and mechanical detail. The sentiment “Love You Lots” sits across the hearts and ties the whole design together.

One of the things I love about this card is the amount of texture. The background was embossed using a retired Sea Bed embossing folder, which creates an amazing dimensional pattern that adds depth to the card without taking attention away from the focal elements.

I also used a retired heart punch for the red hearts. Mixing retired favourites with current products is a wonderful way to stretch your supplies and create something unique.

This card was a fun project to make and a perfect handmade Valentine.

Here Together Love or Valentine's Day Card

 Hi Friends!

I let the designer paper do most of the "work" on this card. The All Together designer paper is black and white so it lends itself to being coloured and manipulated in so many ways.

I chose a couple of the patterns when I create this Valentine's Day card for my hubby. But you can use it for anything, including "Thinking Of You" or "Sending Loving Thoughts" or "Love You" ..... well you get the idea lol.

I added Real Red accents, but any colour will do. With the black and white theme, any colour will pop and make your heart happy.

How To Use The Here Together Bundle For A Valentine's Day Card

 Hi Friends!

I created this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day.

I used the Here Together bundle and All Together designer paper. I think it makes a perfect Valentine's Day card. 

But it would also make a great love you card, or a card that would make anyone feel warm and fuzzy.

I added a pop of colour with some Real Red cardstock for the strip and a heart.

Then I coloured some of the hearts on the designer paper and the heart in the hands with the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends.

To make it easier to pop up the "You" I added a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Basic Black before I die cut it. It works perfectly!

Valentine's Day Card Share

Thought I would continue on with the Valentine's Day theme.  You can always save them for next year.  Or maybe turn them into a wedding card????

This is another cased card, this time from Lauren Mullarkey.  Then I used the layout to create another couple of cards.

Isn't it great when you can use one layout and make multiple cards out of it?  I love doing that so I can have some cards on hand for various occasions.  How about using one of these layouts to create a card yourself?

Valentine's Day Heart Strings cards

Here are two Valentine's Day cards that I gave our Grandson's this year.  Then I used the same layout to create a cute butterfly birthday card. 

Last year I was browsing the internet and came across Connie Babbert's post with the Valentine's cards on it.  I cased the cards right away.  They are so fun to make.  Then I thought, hmmm I could make a birthday card out of the same layout using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits.  The last card is the result of that creation.

   Paper:  Peach Parfait (R), Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Everyday Enchantment DSP
   Other:  Finial Press EF (R), Full Heart Punch, Lucky Limeade Ribbon (R), Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits

Some of the items are retired, but sometimes it's nice to pull out the older ones and dust them off.

Valentine's Day Cards

Happy New Year everyone!  Welcome to 2011!
Another CASE from the Stampin' Up! IBC Main Catalogue 2010-11.  This one is on page 59.  I actually made 2 of these cards, each one is a bit different.....



I used some of the new Red Glitter Paper coming out in the Ocasions Mini Catalogue on Jan. 3rd.  Oh lala, it is simply awesome.  It adds bling without all that mess of glitter (well it's really not a mess in my opinion, but some people have issues with it!!!)  I punched the small heart from the glitter paper.  The stamp set is called "Sweetheart". Here is the other version I made.  This time I punched the Full Heart out of the Red Glitter paper.

I used a texture plate to give the Baja Breeze piece a bit of "all that" instead of leaving it plain.  It works real well, don't you think?  Both of these cards have been spritzed with the Colour Spritz Tool.  The first one has Cherry Cobbler on it, the second one has Crumb Cake as well as some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

Valentine {please be mine}

Well not long now until the New Year!  2011 will be a great year, I can feel it in my bones.....  oh sorry, LOL, that is my "rumatizm" haha. I've been reading too many books, obviously!
Today I have a card that was based on one I saw on Stamp TV .  I decided to use the new Stampin' Up! Red Glitter Paper available starting January 4, 2011 in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Oh is it sparkley!

I used a lot of Nestabilities on this card.  The white parts are direct cut outs, the patterned paper pieces have been had cut to fit inside the white parts.  I also used the new Love Impressions DSP also available in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalogue by Stampin' Up!.  A bit of whisper white satin ribbon finishes the whole thing off.  I used a stampe from the stamp set "Holiday Best" in real red classic ink.  Lots of height on this card, I know it would take extra postage to mail it!
