Punched Floral Birthday Card

A few times I've told you about the demo only magazine we receive monthly from Stampin' Up! called Stampin' Success.  It is chocker block full of inspiration and awesome ideas.  The Aug 2011 issue is no exception.  There is a scrapbook page that has lots of floral embellishments on it made using the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch.  I love to make use of my punches in other ways, and was inspired to create this card......
All the flowers have been made using Stampin' Up! punches: Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" circle punches. I used the now retired Sweetest Stem Embosslits to make the leaves, but you could just as easily use the Little Leaves Embosslits, I just had to use this one because I haven't used it yet!
Stamps:  Very Verstatile (sentiment)
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper:  Calypso Coral Patterns DSP
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight
Other: punches listed above, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz (on the early espresso flower centers) Basic Rhinestones
This card was very labour intensive, but really fun to make.  A bright, happy card.
The cardstock sizes are:
Whisper White 8.5 x 5.5 folded in half
  Early Espresso 1-5/8 x 5.5
  DSP 1.5 x 5.5
Happy Stampin' and thanks for visiting!

Fancy Fan Letterpress Birthday Card

Well, I am back from the annual Stampin' Up! Connection and boy did we have a great time.  It was my first time and I am truly glad that I went.  Thank you to my friend MiRan and her help through the maze of the convention, and thank you to all the great demonstrators I met during the 4 days.
I managed to create a card in between having some quality grandson time!  I used the new Fancy Fan Letterpress found in the main catalogue on page 217 (Item 123129 - $9.95 Canadian).....
I used Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party on this card, two of the 2011-13 In Colours.  I inked the letterpress in VersaMark and ran it through my Big Shot on the Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I love the background this created.  Then to take it up a notch, I spritzed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz - ooh lala the bling! LOL
Stamps:  Bring On The Cake
Ink:  VersaMark, Wisteria Ponder
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party
Other:  Fancy Fan Letterpress, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, Wide Oval Punch, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon
I punched out a long string of the Lace Ribbon Border Punch, then cut it and created a frame around the cake image piece in Pool Party, then I punched some more in Whisper White and created a border for the bottom of the Whisper White piece.  I stamped the cake image again on Pool Party cardstock, then cut it out and popped it up on the original image to add a bit of dimension.
Oh I love my craft room and I am so glad to be back.

Wisteria Wonder - CASEd card

A couple of days ago I saw the most amazing card by Lee Conrey, HERE is a link to her blog post. Lee makes cards that are clean and simple, but they pack a whole lot of zing in them.  I knew when I saw this that I had to case it, here is my take on Lee's card......
I changed the card a bit, I used Wisteria Wonder (one of the new In Colours) and I turned mine sideways.  I also used Rhinestones instead of Pearls, and I spritzed it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz.  I have waited an entire year for a lighter, softer purple, and now I am jazzed about Wisteria Wonder.
Stamps:  Short and Sweet
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Other:  Lace Ribbon Border Punch (NEW), Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, Whisper White Organza Ribbon

UPDATE: sorry I forgot to share the picture of the shimmer spritz up close.....
