Pear Pizazz - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

I saved the best for last.  This card, my Darlene McCallum, is one of my favourites.  It uses the new Greenhouse Gala DSP and Pear Pizazz, one of the new In Colours (for 2 whole years) for 2010-2012.
Pear Pizazz is a gray tone green along the lines of Certainly Celery (which is yellow toned).  The new Greenhouse Gala DSP is going to be one of my all time favourite packages of paper.  The sheets in this package are different and truly "useable".  I made this card exactly as Darlene did because I thought it was just so great.  I love the way she used the ribbon and the brads (these are the 5/16" brads, not the mini ones).  The new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch is another one of Stampin' Up!s amazing decisions.  It fits so well with the existing punch sizes, and is in the new low profile punch.  The stamp set is called Friends Never Fade.  It is on page 99 of the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue for 2010-11.  The flower co-ordinates identically with the Greenhouse Gala DSP, and there are Decor Elements in the same flower (page 224 of the IBC).  This is a super flower, and I can't wait to use it for techniques such as Chalkboard, Black Magic, etc.
Well that's it for the cards I made up to showcase the new colours, stamp sets, embossing folders, designer papers, and ribbons in my Open House on June 30th.
If you would like to purchase all of these products at a discount, AND be able to pre-order some items before the catalogues go live, you can join my Stampin' Up! Downline Family.  On page 8 of the IBC there is some info for you on becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  Contact me, I would love to discuss this awesome opportunity with you!
Have a super day, see you soon................  Glenda Mollet

Daffodil Delight - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

I know the catalogue has been out for a few days now, but I made these cards before it's release, so that's the reason I am saying "Sneak Peek".  This card was cased from Darlene McCallum (again!) .  HERE is her blog post.  Darlene used Pacific Point cardstock, which is a returning colour from a couple of years ago.  It is now included in Stampin' Up!s newly renovated Brights Collection.  I wanted to use the new colour Daffodil Delight - part of the new Brights Collection as well.
I used Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock along with the Daffodil Delight.  One of my favourite stamp sets - Inspired By Nature - creates the awesome image in Basic Black.  The sentiment is from Elegant Cheer.  This card also showcases the new 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.  These ribbons have a delicate white edging on them.  And they are narrow so very easy to create bows and knots with.  The three black brads just finish off the whole effect, don't you think?
Almost done now, only one more card in my Sneak Peek Open House series.  I hope they have inspired you in some small way.  Stampin' Up!s new Colour Renovation brings in some truly fabulous colours.  I just wish I had the time to make up cards from all the new colours.  Unfortunately I ran out of time and did not get Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade or Blushing Bride done.  Oh well, maybe over the next couple of days I can get those ones done.  Happy stampin'...........  Glenda Mollet

Concord Crush - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

Card #5 from my Open House on June 30 was inspired (and mostly cased) from Janet Wakeland, HERE is her post.  The original card was made with Black and White, but I wanted to use the new Concord Crush colour which is a new In Colour and will be around for 2 whole years (2010-2012).  This colour is a very deep, deep, rich purple and it is gorgeous!  I also used the stamp set "Punched Posies" which is a hostess set from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalogue which is in effect until August 31st.  Also En Francais background stamp, Whimsical Words set, and some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.  The Scallop Circle and the 1-3/8" Circle punches were used for the sentiment.  The 1", 3/4", 1/2", and the Itty Bitty Circle punches were used to punch Concord Crush pieces to put in the middles of the stamped images.  What an effective, card!
Thanks, two more cards to go, and I will publish them over the next couple of days.  I hope your "summer" is going well.  Enjoy the sun, and your family and friends.
Bye for now..................  Glenda Mollet

Marina Mist, Greehouse Gala DSP - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

Another quick and easy card today for you.  This one is a case from Barb Millikin.  HERE is a link to her blog.  Another very talented Stamper.
This card uses the new colour Marina Mist which belongs to the new Subtles Collection in the Stampin' Up! IBC 2010-11.  I changed things a bit from Barb's card, and used some retired Baja Breeze ribbon which goes really well with Marina Mist.  The DSP is Greenhouse Gala and has some very versatile and different prints in it.  This would be a great masculine card.  The sentiment is from the new "Perfect Punches" stamp set.
This card takes about 5 minutes to complete and would be very easy to whip up 5 or 6 of them, using different cardstock and ribbon colours, and package them up in a neat box for a great present for someone special.  Hmmmm I see a class coming on!!!!   Thanks, hope your day is a great one.

Cajun Craze - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

Hi, back again with card #3 from my Open House on June 30th.  This is another one of Darlene McCallum's cards.  I changed it up a bit, but the basic card is the same.  HERE is the link to Darlene's card.
I used the Medallion Background stamp to make the motif in the centre.  This is Cajun Craze  which is one of the new Regals Collection colour.  To do the strip in the middle, I took a 1/2" slice of Cajun Craze and put some double sided tape on it, then I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock slightly smaller than the tape.  After applying the WW cardstock, I dipped the strip in Dazzling Diamonds glitter and it put two really thin lines of glitter down each side of the WW cardstock piece. Too cool!  I have been making a lot of really complicated cards lately, and realy appreciate the simpler ones.  If you still have not received a copy of the new IBC 2010-11, contact me (or your regular SU demonstrator).  They are now available, and I must say, it is AWESOME!!!
Thanks again, come back tomorrow with card #4............  Glenda Mollet

Cherry Cobbler and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder - IBC 2010-11 Sneak Peek

This card showcases Cherry Cobbler, a new to Stampin' Up! colour - the Regals Collection.  I also used the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Both of these items are available in the new 2010-11 Idea Book and Catalogue (IBC) as of July 1st.  If you would like a copy of the catalogue, email me!  This card was a direct case from Darlene McCallum, HERE is a link to her blog.  Thanks, Darlene, for this awesome, simple card.  I did not have the appropriate ribbon, so just dyed some Whisper White satin ribbon with the Cherry Cobbler ink pad.  Darlene shows how to do that.
This is one of the cards I will be showing at my Open House today, hope you can visit.  We will be looking at all the new colours, and copies of the new IBC will be available to be picked up.
See you there..............  Glenda Mollet
