While browsing around I saw this technique of using the large MS lattice punch on the side of a card and just leaving it to stand on its own with no ribbon, or paper behind it, and I knew I wanted to do that. I also had been playing with Stampin' Up! Bride Specialty Designer Paper doing the card in my previous post. I hauled it out again and matched the colours in the image and sponged with them. I sponged Yoyo Yellow first all over the paper, then added some Only Orange around the outsides. I matted this with Only Orange cardstock. Tilda is sitting on two layered pieces of cardstock punched with another MS punch, one layer is Very Vanilla and one is Only Orange. The base colour of the card is Very Vanilla. I made a bow of Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, added some Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal grosgrain ribbon behind the bow. The bow is adhered in the top LH corner and the 6 tails splay out in a sunburst pattern under Tilda and her bench and wrap around the matted Bride DSP. I used my Retro Flower punch to make some flowers (2 layers each flower, some in Only Orange and one in Yoyo Yellow) and added some Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads. Under the orange bouquet of flowers I made 2 layers of Yoyo Yellow flower punches (non SU). I added some Old Olive branches punched with MS punch. This will be a card for either my Mom or my Mom-In-Law (have not decided who yet!!!) as you can tell by the sentiment.
The card recipe: (all Stampin' Up! unless noted)
Stamps: Writing Diary Tilda (Magnolia), Well Scripted
Ink: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Old Olive, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper: Bride Specialty DSP
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Only Orange, Yoyo Yellow, Old Olive
Other: MS punches, Very Vanilla Taffeta, Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal Grosgrain ribbon, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads, Large Oval and Scallop Oval SU punches
Thanks for looking, I hope you are having a super duper day!
