Free Tutorial Friday! -

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a Free Tutorial for you just for visiting my Blog!

Each month I participate in a Sweethearts Global Collective tutorial group. Demonstrators from all around the world share projects together for free for our customers, and on our social media platforms.

Today's card is called Happy Birthday From The Beach!  What an appropriate name for this card.

This card uses the Oceanfront stamp set (one of my favourites) and the Whale Done stamp set to create a beachy scene. Isn't this just so peaceful and relaxing!

CLICK HERE to download the tutorial for this pretty card.

My favourite places in the world are all on the water.

Our favourite camping spots are on the ocean.

Our favourite hot and sunny vacation spots are all on salty water (seas and oceans)

And I grew up in Vernon, BC Canada which is on 2 major lakes.

Yup I have water in my veins lol.

I hope you enjoy this card and tutorial.

Oceanfront Peaceful Scene Card and Video Replay!

 Hi Friends!

I shared how to create this beautiful card during my facebook live stamping demonstration on Monday night.

Here's a close up picture of the corner with the grasses, rocks and Faux Sea Glass.

Then we went rogue and created this beautiful meadow scene using the same stamps in a different way!

Watch the video below to see how I created both of these cards!

We stamped this card at my Seniors Group last week and everyone really enjoyed doing it.

This was one of those sleeper sets in the catalogue that is often over looked. At first glance you think "oh another landscapey stamp set". But let me tell you, you are going to want to have this one in your craft room.

It is so versatile - beaches, hills, grasslands, so many variations you can create. And, add in the On The Horizon stamp set and dies and you have a match made in heaven.

This set - Oceanfront #157862  $30 (Cdn) page 39 J-J Mini Catalogue - will be in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue!  I am so excited!!!

The On The Horizon bundle #157779 v$69.25 (Cdn) is retiring as of June 30. So still a bit of time to get that one too.

Oceanfront Meets Sailing Home - A Sweet Goodbye!

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you that is close to my heart. For years we owned sailboats and cruised the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.

We saw many lighthouses, and travelled many miles under wind power only. It's very peaceful and quiet when you have the wind at your back and the sounds of the ocean slipping past your hull.

I used the lighthouse and sailboat from Sailing Home, and added them to a scene created with the Oceanfront stamp set.

I shared another card using the Oceanfront stamp set yesterday, CLICK HERE to see that post.

On Monday I did a live demonstration on my facebook page, and in my VIP Group on how to create this card.

You can see the video replay below. If you enjoy the video, please consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel so you don't miss any of my videos, tutorials and Live Stamping. Once you have subscribed, click on the bell icon to get notification when I add to my channel.

Create A Landscape Scene With The Oceanfront Stamp Set

 Hi Friends!

I did not know that I needed this stamp set for a while after the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue released.

But, once I ordered it, I was so excited!  It is a beautiful set and so easy to work with.

For the card above, I created a beach scene. But you can use the same elements and do a meadow scene, or a sand scene, or just about any scene you want.

OCEANFRONT PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

It comes with all of these pieces, and they work well together.

Here's an up close picture of the rock, grasses and background on the bottom left corner.

There is not a set of dies with this set, but the rocks were very easy to fussy cut. Then I popped them up on some dimensionals. Then I added some Faux Sea Glass embellishments to the shoreline.

The colours I used are Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Gray Granite, Old Olive and Early Espresso. Then I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.

I love how the added dots on the sand fill it in and make it look like the sand on an ocean beach!

You can find this stamp set in my Canadian ONLINE STORE and order it for yourself!

Oceanfront and On The Horizon Dies Together On A Card!

 Hi Friends!

I had so much fun with the Oceanfront stamp set a couple of weeks ago!

It is so versatile and can be used in so many ways.

I used it to create a scene that invites you to step through the gate and enjoy the peacefulness.

Just look at those cute Pebbles Enamel Dots around the base of the fence panels!

I shared how to create this card during my facebook live on Monday night in my VIP Group.

You can find the recipe and step by step tutorial on how to create this card in the video below.

Oceanfront Meets Sailing Home And Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you that is makes my heart sing!

I paired the Sailing Home stamp set an coordinating Smooth Sailing dies with the Oceanfront stamp set for a beautiful ocean scene card.

We used to own sailboats, and I miss sailing so much. But it was not to be once we got busy with life and could not spend as much time sailing as we used to. Boats deteriorate very quickly when they just sit. So we made the heartbreaking decision to sell our beloved Maraya. The people we sold her to were going to enjoy it every bit as much as we did.

Here's a picture of Maraya. I can smell the ocean and close my eyes and feel the gentle rocking of the boat. Yes I do miss her, a lot. But time has moved on and we now have Grand Children that we want to spend time with.

Here's the recipe to recreate my card as shown above:

Night of Navy 11 x 4-1/4

Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (x 2 pieces)

                     2-1/4 x 4 (bits and birds)

                     1 x 3 (sentiment)

Waves Of The Ocean designer paper 5-1/4 x 4

Waves Basic Jewels

Waves Dies

Smooth Sailing Dies

Wink of Stella

Stamp sets: Oceafront, Sailing Home, Blossoms In Bloom

Ink:  Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake

Blends: Dark Real Red, Dark Balmy Blue, Light Misty Moonlight, 500, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Smoky Slate

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you have a wonderful day.
