The Heron Habitat Bundle by Stampin' Up! is wonderful to use. It makes amazing masculine cards!

Hi Friends

Welcome to our Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip Achievers blog hop from an array of Demonstrators around the world!  There is a list of hoppers at the end of my post.

The Heron Habitat bundle is not one that was on my radar to get. But the Hostess of our October Monthly Club requested this as the bundle to use to create the cards of the month.

 HERON HABITAT BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

I ordered it, and wondered why I had not adopted it before? It is an amazing bundle. You can make masculine cards, but it is not just for masculine themed cards. You can make any type of card - Sympathy, Get Well, Thinking Of You, Birthday, anything at all.

I got to creating and just could not stop. This is a card I created for my Seniors Stamp Crafts Group on Wednesday mornings.

I have been volunteering with this wonderful group of Ladies for over 13 years now, and they keep inviting me back every year. It is the highlight of my week.

I used the following to create this card:

  Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2

  Basic White 5 1/4 x 4 (x 2 pieces), 2 1/2 x 5, 1 x 3

  Pool Party 5 x 1 1/2 (x 2 pieces)

  Soft Suede 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

  Faux Sea Glass

  Heron Dies

  Heron Habitat stamp set

Ink:  Gray Granite, Soft Suede, Memento, Daffodil Delight

  Blending Brushes

Would you like to learn a simple and beautiful background technique using the Heron Habitat Bundle?

 Hi Friends!

I was recently bopping around Pinterest for inspiration and came across this technique by Jenny Burnett.

Sometimes backgrounds are difficult when I don't want to just use designer paper.

To do the rectangles, cut a piece of Basic White 5 x 3-3/4. Then cut this piece into 4 rectangle that are 2-1/2 x 1-7/8 by cutting the piece into quarters. So easy!

Watch the video below to get the recipe and how to create the background and the card.

This technique is wonderful and so adaptable. Use any colour(s), any stamps/bundles, and any sentiment you like.

You can even use it to make masculine cards! Yay, a win win in my opinion.

I shared how to create this card, and the technique, on my facebook live last Monday.
