One Layout - Two Cards! How To Unblock Creative Blockage!

 Hi Friends!

Recently a Friend asked how to get her card making mojo back. It's ok to take a break and have some self-care time.

When I feel the need to jump start my creativity, I case myself. Just look back to the cards you have done and find one that made your heart happy.

I tend to choose a card that was not too difficult to make. Sometimes the block is because of being overwhelmed, and focusing on something that is quick an satisfying will unblock that blockage and let the creativity flow again.

These are two cards that I created when I was not as creative as I wanted to be .....

They both use the same layout, different colours, and different stamp sets. And I changed up the embellishments too.

I shared how to create these cards during my Make It With Me Monday Live Stamping in my VIP Group on Monday.

Then I also shared how to create this beautiful card and "Just Use That Designer Paper". It uses a 4 x 12 strip of designer paper, and if you create a custom envelope to go with it, you have used almost an entire sheet of DSP!  Let's get that lovingly collected designer paper out of the craft room and make room for more!

If you would like to see how I created them, please watch the video below. Please enjoy the video, and subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you don't miss any of my videos, tutorials and Live Stamping. Once you have subscribed, click on the bell icon to get notification when I add to my channel.

Friendly Hello Fun Fold And My Seniors Group!

 Hi Friends!

Every Wednesday I head to the Stamp Crafts Group at our local Sunshine Club. This is a local club for seniors (well, over 50 so not really seniors lol) to stamp with them.

Yesterday we created this card together.

I received a swap card and I loved the fun fold layout, so I incorporated it into this card.

I love to swap. Not all the cards are my style, but they are someone's style! And I get wonderful ideas for layouts and fun folds as well as how to use new stamp sets, bundles and suites.

We call this "Casing" and I look at it as the biggest form of flattery there is. So if you would like to Case this card, please go ahead and enjoy it!

Basic Black card base 7 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4

Basic Black 3-1/2 x 3 scored at 3

Basic White 2 x 3-1/2, 2 x 5/8 and 5-1/4 x 4 for the inside

Friendly Hello designer paper 5-1/4 x 2-1/2 and 2-3/4 x 2-3/4

Irridescent Rhinestones

Friendly Hello stamp set

Special Moments stamp set

Ink:  Memento, Pool Party

Blends: Daffodil Delight dark, Pale Papaya combo

Wink of Stella

I used the "dots" from the Friendly Hello stamp set to add black dots on the Pale Papaya designer paper and it worked great!

Thanks for visiting today. Hope to see you soon In My Craft Room.

A Verstatile Layout Using the Friendly Hello Bundle

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you that uses a very versatile layout.

You can use any colour, designer paper, die cut and stamp set/bundle for this one. And it even has some embossing on it!

Watch the video below to see how I changed it up with different colours, different designer paper and different stamped images!  But it's still just as beautiful as the original card.

The card I made uses the Friendly Hello stamp set which is available for another 2 weeks as a level 2 Sale-a-Bration item in Jan-Feb 2022.

The designer paper and the stamp set is what makes up the bundle in this case. We don't often have paper and stamps bundled together, but this is simply beautiful!  It should be on your Must Have list for sure.
