Spider Punch Image

I found this card on Pinterest and a couple of blogs and just couldn't resist making it.  I made it in a couple of my classes as well.  One class we went crazy and made the spiders a lot of cool colours.

Then Hallowe'en came and I knew what cards I would be making for my awesome Grandsons, James and Cameron. Cameron is just one (as of last weekend) and so cute, but can't tell Gramma things yet - well in a language Gramma can understand anyways.  But if you ask James what his favourite colour is, his answer is ALWAYS Black.  It never wavers.  So I created it in black for both of them, with one red spider.

James' card I put on a black card base ....

And Cameron's has a red card base .....

I don't have any Hallowe'en stamps - I know GASP huh?  Well didn't until yesterday with the fabulous 15% off Sell A Stamp Spooktacular that Stampin' Up! had yesterday.  Now I own a few of them.  Anyways, I had to hand write the sentiment.

Stamps:  none
Ink: none
Marker:  Basic Black
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Paper:  Basic Black and Real Red Patterns DSP
Other:  Googlie eyes

Happy Stampin' and hope you have a Spooktacular Hallowe'en .....

Christmas Ornament card

Christmas once again!  I am super busy with Christmas Card Classes. This is one I made up but not doing a class on.  I thought I would share it with you today.
First emboss the front panel, then adhere the emobossed panel to the Real Red layer.  Next using the Apothecary Accents Die cut out the middle of both panels together.  I cut out a Red Glimmer and a Whisper White ornament using the Holiday Ornaments Die, sandwiched a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine between the two layers and attached it to the back of the Real Red layer so it is floating.  The ends of the sentiment layer are punched with the Blossom Punch.  I love using my punches for different applications.
   Stamps:  More Merry Messages
   Ink:  Basic Black, Real Red
Paper:  Whisper White, Real Red, Red Glimmer
Other:  Apothecary Accents Dies, Holiday Ornaments Dies, Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler Banker's Twine, Real red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Blossom Punch
Thanks for visiting, see you next time .....

Peace On Earth Christmas Card

Another Christmas project to share with you today.  This one is my own design, not cased from anywhere.  I used the Come To Bethlehem stamp set for the main image.  It is inked in Versa Mark and the star is embossed in Gold Embossing Powder, the rest of the image is embossed in Black Embossing Powder.  I used Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso inks to create the sunset .  It is quite striking in real life.
Stamps:  Come To Bethlehem, Four The Holidays (R)
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Versa Mark
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Other:  Gold and Black Embossing Powders, Sponges
Not many products to create this wonderful card.  The Technique is called "Emboss Resist Technique" and is a lot of fun to do.

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Here is a really cute gift card holder I made last year for Christmas.  I cased it from Dawn Griffith.  It uses the now retired Stocking Punch. I was sad to see that one go, but then I am always sad when Stampin' Up! retires punches.  They are my favourite "tool" and I use them all the time.

Stamps:  Serene Snowflakes (also retired but still in my stash!), Stitched Stockings (R)
Ink:  Baja Breeze
Paper:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Silver Glimmer
Other:  Sticky Tape, Whisper White envelope, Round Tab Punch (R), 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Stocking Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Eyelette Border Punch

I will be doing a class on making this gift card holder in November if you would like to join us.  Have a super day ...

Elementary Elegance Embossed and Cased Card

Another cased card for you today.  This is one of Jackie Topa's awesome cards.  I changed it up a bit to make it my own.
To all my Canadian friends - Happy Thanksgiving!!!!  May your turkey be tender and juicy, and your weekend be one to create memories.  I know ours will be, more camping for us.
Stamps:  Elementary Elegance
Ink:  Versa Mark, Pretty In Pink
Paper:  Whisper White, Pretty In Pink
Other:  Daubers, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Basic Pearls, Pretty In Pink Polka Dot Ribbon, 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" Circle Punches, Pewter Embossing Powder, Elegant Bouquet and Finial Press Embossing Folders
To make that cute little ribbon circle, just thread Baker's Twine through the holes along one edge of the ribbon and gather together.  Could not be simpler.  Looks really cute with a Glimmer Brad through the middle as well.  :-)

Diorama Birthday

Every once in a while I get a chance to visit with fellow demonstrators in my area and we spend the day creating and playing.  Last spring I was lucky to be able to do this with a friend in Victoria, BC.  This is the card we made.  She had the inspiration so I don't know where she got it from, but I believe it is cased from someone.
This is a super fun card to make
Stamp:  Party This Way, Crazy For Cupcakes, Pennant Parade, Create A Cupcake, Ain't Love Grand
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Paper:  So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink
Punches: Postage Stamp, Cupcake, Decorative Label, Modern Label, Word Window, 3/4" Circle, Pennant, 1/16" Circle
Other:  Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine
A lot of stamp sets and a whole lot of punches, but so worth it in the end!
