Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card Ideas

 Hi Friends!

The Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit is here, and that means it is time to see what else we can create with all those wonderful supplies inside the box!

Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! featuring intricate laser-cut botanical layers in soft peach and white over blue, with textured card bases and coordinating envelopes, used to create alternative handmade card designs.

One of my favourite things to do with Paper Pumpkin is create alternative cards. The original projects are always a great starting point, but I love taking the stamps, card bases, embellishments and other kit pieces and finding completely different ways to use them.

The August Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! has some beautiful details to work with, including those gorgeous intricate leafy designs. They gave me lots of ideas for creating cards that look different from the original kit projects while still making use of the supplies provided.

In my video tutorial, I take you through each of my Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin alternative cards from start to finish. You can craft along with me if you have the kit or simply use the designs as inspiration with supplies you already have in your craft room.

That is one of the things I love most about Paper Pumpkin alternatives — even if you do not have the exact kit, the layouts and ideas can often be recreated with different stamps, dies, papers and embellishments.

And if you do have the Kindred Greetings kit, I hope these alternative card ideas inspire you to look at everything in that box a little differently before you decide what to make!

Be sure to watch the complete video tutorial below, and let me know which alternative is your favourite. 💜

3 Alternative Birthday Cards with the Hooray for Birthdays Paper Pumpkin Kit

 Hi Friends!

One of my favourite things about Paper Pumpkin is discovering how many different ways you can use each kit. While the projects included in the kit are always beautiful, I also enjoy looking beyond the instructions and creating something completely different.

Three alternative birthday cards created from the July Hooray for Birthdays Paper Pumpkin Kit using additional Stampin' Up! supplies and simple card making techniques.

For this month's live demonstration, I used the July Hooray for Birthdays Paper Pumpkin Kit to create three alternative birthday cards, each with its own unique style. By adding just a few extra Stampin' Up! supplies, it is easy to stretch the kit even further and create projects that look completely different from the originals.

During the video tutorial, I demonstrate all three cards from start to finish, sharing ideas, tips, and techniques along the way. Whether you have already completed your kit or it is still waiting to be opened, I hope these alternative projects inspire you to look at your supplies in a whole new way.

You will find the complete video tutorial below, along with the measurements and supply list for each project. I hope you enjoy creating these alternative cards as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you.

Happy stamping!

Wait Until You See What We Made with the Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin Kit

 Hi Friends!

The March Paper Pumpkin kit, Fluttering Garden, is such a beautiful kit. The hummingbird artwork and soft watercolor colors make it perfect for creating elegant cards, and the included bonus stamp set adds even more creative possibilities.

Promotional graphic for the March 2026 Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin kit featuring watercolor hummingbird illustrations and text noting the kit includes a bonus stamp set.

During a recent stamping session in my craft room, we opened the kit together and explored alternative card ideas using the kit pieces rather than making the projects exactly as designed.

Paper Pumpkin kits are wonderful as they come, but they are also a fantastic starting point for creativity. By changing layouts, layering elements differently, and adding a few extra touches, you can stretch your kit supplies and create completely new card designs.

In the video replay below, you’ll see the ideas we came up with together and how easy it is to turn a Paper Pumpkin kit into unique alternative cards.

If you enjoy discovering new ways to use your Paper Pumpkin supplies, this one is definitely worth watching.

And I would love to hear from you —
Do you usually make your Paper Pumpkin kits as designed, or do you enjoy creating alternative projects like these?

December Paper Pumpkin Watercolor In Bloom - Alternative Cards Demonstration

 Hi Friends!

Today’s video tutorial features the December Paper Pumpkin kit, Watercolor In Bloom.

In this demonstration, I will be creating a selection of alternative card designs that show you how to stretch your kit further, make the most of the supplies inside, and customize the elements to suit your own cardmaking style. This particular kit includes watercolor imagery, customizable sentiment stamps, and floral accents that work beautifully for all-occasion projects.

A photographed layout of the Paper Pumpkin kit contents including the exclusive stamp set, printed pieces, embellishments, and coordinating accents arranged neatly for reference.

If you are new to Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly subscription crafting kit from Stampin’ Up! designed to make cardmaking simple, convenient, and creative. Each kit includes pre-cut supplies, coordinating embellishments, printed instructions, and an exclusive stamp set that you will not find anywhere else. Everything arrives ready to use, so all you need is your favorite adhesive and a quiet moment to create. These kits are perfect for both beginners and experienced stampers who enjoy quick crafting, learning new ideas, or building up a collection of versatile sentiment stamps.

During the video, I will walk you through alternative cardmaking ideas step by step and share tips for assembling your kit pieces, adapting layouts, and using both the patterned elements and stamp set in new ways. These alternatives are designed to help you look at your kit with fresh eyes and show just how adaptable Paper Pumpkin can be when you want something different than the original instructions.

You can watch the replay below and stamp along at your own pace. Feel free to pause, rewind, and recreate the projects exactly or switch out colours and elements based on what you have in your own craft space.

I hope these alternative ideas help you get even more value and inspiration from the December Watercolor In Bloom kit. If you create your own versions, I would love to see what you come up with in my Facebook Group.
