A Cased Masculine Card Using The Sailing Home Bundle!

 Hi Friends!

I was inspired to create this card by one I saw by Heather Thomas. I changed it a bit, but the layout and supplies came from Heather.

I just love the peacefulness of this card. I will so miss the Sailing Home stamp set and coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies now that they are retired.

But they won't leave my craft room, ever.

To see how I created it, please watch the video below. If you enjoy the video, please consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel so you don't miss any of my videos, tutorials and Live Stamping. Once you have subscribed, click on the bell icon to get notification when I add to my channel.

Oceanfront Meets Sailing Home - A Sweet Goodbye!

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you that is close to my heart. For years we owned sailboats and cruised the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.

We saw many lighthouses, and travelled many miles under wind power only. It's very peaceful and quiet when you have the wind at your back and the sounds of the ocean slipping past your hull.

I used the lighthouse and sailboat from Sailing Home, and added them to a scene created with the Oceanfront stamp set.

I shared another card using the Oceanfront stamp set yesterday, CLICK HERE to see that post.

On Monday I did a live demonstration on my facebook page, and in my VIP Group on how to create this card.

You can see the video replay below. If you enjoy the video, please consider subscribing to my YouTube Channel so you don't miss any of my videos, tutorials and Live Stamping. Once you have subscribed, click on the bell icon to get notification when I add to my channel.

Oceanfront Meets Sailing Home And Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you that is makes my heart sing!

I paired the Sailing Home stamp set an coordinating Smooth Sailing dies with the Oceanfront stamp set for a beautiful ocean scene card.

We used to own sailboats, and I miss sailing so much. But it was not to be once we got busy with life and could not spend as much time sailing as we used to. Boats deteriorate very quickly when they just sit. So we made the heartbreaking decision to sell our beloved Maraya. The people we sold her to were going to enjoy it every bit as much as we did.

Here's a picture of Maraya. I can smell the ocean and close my eyes and feel the gentle rocking of the boat. Yes I do miss her, a lot. But time has moved on and we now have Grand Children that we want to spend time with.

Here's the recipe to recreate my card as shown above:

Night of Navy 11 x 4-1/4

Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (x 2 pieces)

                     2-1/4 x 4 (bits and birds)

                     1 x 3 (sentiment)

Waves Of The Ocean designer paper 5-1/4 x 4

Waves Basic Jewels

Waves Dies

Smooth Sailing Dies

Wink of Stella

Stamp sets: Oceafront, Sailing Home, Blossoms In Bloom

Ink:  Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake

Blends: Dark Real Red, Dark Balmy Blue, Light Misty Moonlight, 500, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Smoky Slate

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you have a wonderful day.

How To Create A Sunset Scene Card

 Hi Friends!

Last Monday I shared how to create a beautiful blended background for the Sailing Home stamp set and Smooth Sailing Dies in my facebook VIP Group.

I decided to create a summery themed card right in the middle of the extreme weather situation that British Columbia, Canada was in. All of our roads leading out of the lower mainland of BC to parts east were washed out. Yes! There are 4 major highways out of the Vancouver area, and all 4 of them had major road washouts and slides.

So I needed a bit of relief from the weather, and my mind went to our sailing days. We used to own a sail boat called Maraya until about 4 years ago, and we still miss it.

Here's the card I shared last week during the Trip Achievers Blog Hop ...

And now I am excited to share the video tutorial with you as well. Watch the video below and see how I added a horizon to the card and a different card base too!

Sailing Home Sunset Card

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our Stampin' Up! Trip Achievers Blog Hop!

I am excited to share today's card with you. I live on the west coast of BC, Canada in a small town right on the ocean.

This card comes from personal experience when we used to have our sailboat Maraya.

The sunsets while sailing on the Pacific Ocean are amazing. I created this blended background with the Blending Brushes. They make this type of background so easy to do.

I used the Rainbow Glitter paper to create where the lighthouse is. Then I added a lot of Wink Of Stella to the boat and the lighthouse.

The embellishments are the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems.

I will be showing how I created this card during my Make It Monday Live Stamping in my facebook group.  Come on over and join us!

Sailing Home Birthday Card Share

 Hi Friends!

Every once in a while I host a FREE online class in my VIP Group on facebook. The cards are created, the recipes posted, and Stampers create their own kits.

Then on the day of the Free Class, we all gather on zoom or the live stream onto my VIP Group and craft together.

The cards are adaptable to any stamp set, bundle or suite you may have at home in your craft room. The papers and tools are also adaptable.

Many find this a wonderful way to spend the afternoon right now because we are all missing the face-to-face socializing.

On March 6th we did a Masculine Nautical Themed Class. I created the cards using the High Tide and Sailing Home bundles. Everyone's cards were so different as they used what they had.

Here's one of the cards we did ...

CLICK HERE for the recipes for all 3 cards.

You can see the first of the 3  cards I shared on my blog on March 14th by CLICKING HERE.

I will have one more of these cards to share soon.

Thanks for visiting, you can see lots of videos of my projects on my YouTube Channel. If you subscribe to my channel, you won't miss any of my videos and tutorials.

 Hi Friends!

On Thursday we created a card using the Circle Swirl technique (well that is what I am calling it lol).

                         5-1/4 x 4 for the inside

Misty Moonlight 1-3/4 x 1-3/4

Night Of Navy 2-3/4 x 2-3/4

Smoky Slate 1 x 2 and 1-1/2 x 3
