On page 112 of the Stampin' Up! Main Catalogue (IBC) 2010-11 there is a cute little box. I took that idea and made a birthday card out of it, with a bit of a twist using a new product from the Occasions Mini catalogue .......
This card was quick and easy to make (under 10 mins). I ran the Baja Breeze piece through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. After inking up the Eastern Blooms flower with Perfect Plum I used the Rock and Roll technique to add some Concord Crush to the outsides of the petals. Then I popped one of the new Vintage Flower adornments (now available in the Occasions Mini catalogue, page 15) into the center of the flower, then some fussy cutting to cut out the bloom. I attached a piece of Cardstock weight Vellum to the back of the cut out bloom (using adhesive just in the center of the bloom) and cut out the vellum so it was the same shape as the inked image. Then I put some dimensionals between the cardstock petal and the vellum petal so the petals stay popped up a bit for some dimension. The sentiment is stamped in Concord Crush on a piece of Pear Pizzazz and attached to the cardfront, then the flower is attached to that. Quick an simple and very effective. You could make this one out of Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, and the flower done in purples as it is, and wow would that be effective. Hmmmmm, well off to make another one of these cards using that colour scheme right away!
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Concord Crush, Perfect Plum
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Vellum
Other: Vintage Flower adornment, Square Lattice EF, dimensionals
In a hurry now, gotta make another card (heehee)! Bye for now ...... Glenda Mollet

Eastern Blooms Flower Patch
This is another card I created for our trip to Peace River, AB. I wanted to show Laverna that you can use all the stamps in a set. This card uses the Stampin' Up! set Eastern Blooms again with some Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the branch part in Pear Pizzazz then overstamped that with the flower in Poppy Parade. Then I added some Basic Pearls. Ah it felt good after so many days of not using these little lovelies, to get back to them again. Makes me wonder how I survived before Stampin' Up! added these little gems, and the Basic Rhinestones, to their main catalogue! Thank You!!!
Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Ink: Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait
Paper: Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper
Cardstock: Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Other: Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls
A great note type card to brighten someone's day, especially with all the rain we have been having lately. November in Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, BC is always when the winter fog sets in, and it stays until March. Only a few more days left till our "Fog Season" ... ... ... Glenda Mollet

Eastern Blooms One Sheet Wonder Technique
In October DH and I are taking a trip (poor guy, travelling again so soon!) to Peace River, Alberta to visit some friends, Brian and Laverna. Laverna also happens to be one of my Stampin' Up! Downline! We have 3 intense (LOL) days planned in her craft room stampin' up a storm. We are also going to have a class with some of her Stampin' Ladies. When we made the plans I asked her which of her stamp sets I could create cards for to bring out to her. She sent me a list that included Eastern Blooms. This is a set I have not inked up for quite a while now. Thanks, Laverna, for making me bring it out again .............
I decided to use the One-Sheet-Wonder technique for this project. This technique is quite new to me, I was introduced to it at Barb's house (a fellow Demo) in Comox, BC this summer when a bunch of Vancouver Island Demonstrators got together for a Pool Party / BBQ / meeting. I also cased her layout for this card - Thanks Barb!
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz
Other: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Scallop Trim Punch, XL Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch
I also used a piece of the stamped cardstock on the inside of the card.
