Island Vibes Pineapple And A Very Versatile Layout

 Hi Friends!

Today I have a card for you using the Island Vibes stamp set.

Pineapples are the symbol of Hospitality, and they taste sooooo good.

When we did a trip to Hawaii several years ago all I wanted to do was eat pineapple. lol

We were in Honolulu about an hour and I had the first taste of fresh pineapple in my mouth. I had to head out immediately upon getting to the hotel, and found pineapple in every corner store around it.

Well, you can guess what happened! Yup, my poor mouth was so sore after 4 days of eating pineapple with every meal, and sometimes in between too, that I had to give it a rest.

Then we went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation and during a presentation there we were told to soak the pineapple in salty water to reduce the acid. And, boy oh boy, does it work!  I bought some salt that day and soaked the pineapple after that. No more mouth issues.

I created this card with that memory in mind. It uses one of the most versatile layouts there is (in my opinion). You can use any designer paper, any colours, any die cuts, any stamp set. Yup, change it up as you like.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a super day.

Stampin' Smiles!

Outstanding looking card.
Never hear of soaking a pineapple in salt water. Great tip to remember.
How long does the pineapple sit in the salt water?

Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend.

Colleen, you just have to rinse it. It does not have to sit any time at all.
