Hi Friends!
Well, Stampin' Up!s Sale-a-Bration #1 is now history, and maybe it's time to start using all the gorgeous designer papers we collected for the past 2 months.
I used the now retired Paper Blooms designer paper for this bright and fun card.
Card base - Thick Basic White 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (to layer the designer papers on)
Paper Blooms Designer Paper
- 5-1/4 x 1-1/4 (striped)
- 5-1/4 x 2-3/4 (floral)
Scraps for flowers and leaves to be die cut with Pierced Blooms Dies
Night Of Navy 2-3/4 x 2
Snail Twine (white) 18"
Well Suited Twine (navy) 18"
Pierced Blooms Dies
Versa Mark Ink Pad
White Embossing Powder
Hey Birthday Chick stamp set
To create this card I layered the two pieces of designer paper onto some basic white cardstock so I could wrap the twine around them and tie a bow.
The flowers and leaves are die cut from various pieces of the designer paper.
To do the sentiment, stamp it in VersaMark onto night of navy cardstock. Use the label die in the Pierced Blooms Dies to cut it out, then move the die and simply cut again making sure your stitch holes are lined up. This will produce a sentiment piece that is sized to the sentiment stamp you are using.
I am happy to do a video on this technique if you like. Just let me know! EMAIL ME here.
