Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - What's New?

 Hi Friends!

Today I am participating in a Blog Hop called Stampin' Dreams. The theme this month is What's New?

There are so many new products in the 2021 Jan-Jun Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue, how can I choose which to showcase today?

I decided to show you a card I created using the Garden Wishes bundle and use a sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set from Sale-a-Bration 2021.

It's always hard to make a "sympathy" card, and I really don't like the words "sympathy". It all stems from my Hospice Training days.  Empathy is good, sympathy is not so good. So whenever possible my sentiment of choice is Thinking Of You. But this sentiment makes my heart happy "Wishing I could heal your heart" is just right.

I stamped the dandelion image from Garden Wishes in Sahara Sand onto a 5-1/2 x 3-7/8 piece of Basic White cardstock.

The die cuts are cut out of the Love You Always Foil (4 x 2-3/4) the Sahara Sand colour.  I used  Adhesive sheets on the back of the foil for ease of attaching them to the card front.

Then I stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite right onto the Basic White cardstock

Then that was layered onto a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Sahara Sand using Stampin' Seal

I took a 9" piece of Braided Linen Trim and tied 3 knots making sure of their placement as I went along

This was wrapped around the two layers and attached to the back with some Stampin' Seal

All of this is attached to a Thick Basic White card base using Stampin' Dimensionals

I added tiny dots of Tombo Multipurpose Glue on the back of one of the Heart Charms and adhered it to the card front just under the sentiment.

A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White for the inside and a Basic White Envelope were stamped to match

What sentiment do you choose for your "sympathy" cards? Are you a traditional With Sympathy person, or Thinking Of You type?

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Blog Hop. There are some very talented Stampers!

This is such an understated, thoughtful and beautiful card. I love the way you've used the thread to create a fence line. And the clever use of colour with your die cuts creates great depth. There's an area of peace to this card - great colour choices!
