Serene Garden Card Share

Hi Friends!

One of my favourite bundles in the new 2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is Serene Garden.  It is made up of the Serene Garden stamp set and coordinating Garden Scene Dies .....

The first time going through the catalogue (because of course there has been many, many, many times going through it by now LOL) this bundle caught my eye.  I just love the clean lines, and clear images, not to mention the subject of course.  This is different from anything we have had in the catalogues so far.  The big die you see on the right side (second down from the top) is an embossing die. It does not cut, just embosses, and you can use it with or without the matching stamp. Then the die you see at the top on the right cuts out some of the leaves from either the stamp set or the embossing die!  Can you imagine???? How versatile is that?

The images lend themselves to colouring in many mediums so easily. I used Stampin' Blends for this card, but left some of the white showing when I coloured the leaves. Then I used the Colour Lifter to remove some of the intensity of the Rich Razzleberry on the flowers - just on the tops of each set of petals.  I really wanted to use the new Tufted embossing folder, but that wasn't on our pre-order list, so I will have to wait a bit to use it.  This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest by Ann Schach. I changed a couple of things to make it my own.  Then I used some of the new Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to finish it off.

To colour the dove I put some Smoky Slate ink onto an acrylic block, then picked it up very lightly with Wink Of Stella and coloured where I thought shadows might be.  Oh my, it makes my heart happy to see this card!  We will be making it later this morning at my weekly Stamp Crafts class with the Sunshine Club Seniors.

A list of supplies can be found below my signature, just click on any of them to go to my Canadian online store to order this bundle for you.  During June, if you place a minimum $60 online order through me and use my Current Host Code (located on the right side of my blog up near the top in a brightly coloured box) I will send you some of the Artisan Pearls for free as my Thank You! (if you don't already have a Demonstrator that is).

EMAIL ME and I am happy to help you place your order!
Have a Crafty Day filled with Many Blessings!
