Before Christmas I did a class on the Pop Up Panel cards (aka Twist and Flip and some other names as well).
Here is the card we made ...
It looks very plain on the outside, but open it up and it packs a whollop of WOW!
Cardstock: 11 x 4-1/4 – scored at 5-1/2 and
folded in half
11 x 2-3/4 –
scored at 2-3/4, 5-1/2, 8-1/4 on 11” side
11 x 8-1/2 – mark
on 11 side at 4-1/4, 5-1/2, 6-3/4
Flip
around and do the same on the other 11” side
Draw
a line down the center at the 5-1/2” mark
Score
on the line
Turn
to the 8-1/2” side and mark at 2-1/8, 4-1/4, 6-3/8
Flip
around and do the same on the other 8-1/2” side
Draw
lines between 2-1/8s, 4-1/4s, 6-3/8s
On
11” side, measure in 4-1/4” from each end of both sides on the
outside lines (4
marks)
Draw
connecting lines between 4” mark and 4-1/4” and 4” mark and
6-3/4” marks
Cut
out the pieces on the ends of above marks
See
template for instructions on marking, cutting and folding
While holding a finger from your
left hand on the X in the middle, fold
the 5-1/2” scored line
towards you and line it up with the 4-1/4” drawn
line
Flip
and do the other side
