I have been searching for ways to give back to my community of awesome people. I have been giving boxes of hand made cards to various non-profit societies in town for their fund raising.
A couple of weeks ago, one of my friends and also a customer mentioned she would like to make tray favours for the local Meals On Wheels program. This wonderful lady, Janet L, does this regularly on her own. She donates the supplies and treats and has a couple of ladies who help her out. Janet said she had seen a Hershey Kisses flower made out of the Stampin' Up! Spiral Flower die on Pinterest, and wanted to make some up for tray favours, but the number required had grown to almost 70! This is daunting for anyone to face on their own. So I told her to pick a day and I would ask if anyone would like to join us to make them up.
Here are the ones we made ...
Well, we certainly did not expect the response we had! 7 lovely ladies, including Janet, dropped by last Thursday and we made up 79 Hershey Kisses Flower Tray Favours in only a couple of hours.
Here is a picture of the end result ....
We used up some of my retired cardstock, and Janet cut out the leaves and made the sentiment pieces before she came over. Here is a picture of the die we used ....
UPDATE: It was pointed out I totally forgot to tell you the name of the die we used. It is the Spiral Flower Die sold by Stampin' Up!. It is in the Annual Catalogue Item #129379 $22.00 (Cdn).
I can't wait until the next time. Maybe then I will actually get to make something. The ladies made them up so fast that they finished them before I was finished getting the pieces all cut and ready to go and the tea and coffee out. Thank you so much to the 7 ladies who shared their time and creativity with our community.
Have a crafty day ... Glenda Mollet

What a wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing.
How wonderful of you all to get together and do this awesome thing for the Meals on Wheels Program. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help out.
Say hi to all the girls for me.
