3 Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card Ideas

Hi Friends!

The September 2026 Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit has such a beautiful fall feel, with woodland-inspired designs and that gorgeous hand-painted watercolour look.

Three alternative handmade cards created with the September 2026 Stampin’ Up! Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit featuring autumn and woodland-inspired designs.

But instead of making the projects exactly as designed, I decided to play with the supplies and see what else I could create!

I came up with three alternative cards using the Aspens of Gratitude kit, and in my video tutorial I’ll take you through each one from beginning to end.

That is one of my favourite things about Paper Pumpkin. You can certainly open the box and create the projects exactly as Stampin’ Up! intended, but you can also use the pieces as a starting point and make something completely different. Sometimes all it takes is changing a layout, adding a little cardstock or looking at one of the kit elements in a different way.

For these three alternatives, I’ll share the measurements and supplies along with the complete tutorials so you can recreate the cards or use the ideas as inspiration for your own Aspens of Gratitude kit.

If you have this month’s Paper Pumpkin, pull it out and create along with me!

And if you make your own alternatives, I’d love to see what you come up with. 💜

How to Make Alternative Cards with the Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin Kit and Relaxing Waterside Bundle

 Hi Friends!

If you are looking for fresh ideas for masculine cards, this project is a great place to start.

The April Paper Pumpkin kit, Lakeside Retreat, has a relaxed, nature-inspired feel that is perfect for creating cards for the men in your life. From lakeside scenes to simple, clean elements, this kit gives you a beautiful foundation to work from.

In these projects, I wanted to take the kit a step further and create alternate cards using the pieces in new ways. By pairing the kit with elements from the Relaxing Waterside bundle and the Waterside Retreat suite, you can easily expand your design options and create something unique.

One of the things I love most about Paper Pumpkin kits is how versatile they are. With just a few changes in layout or layering, you can completely transform the look of your cards while still using what you already have.

These alternate designs are perfect for birthdays, thinking of you cards, and everyday moments when you want something with a more masculine style.

Be sure to watch the video tutorial below where I walk you through the process and share ideas for getting even more out of your kit.
