Designer Paper Card Inspiration with Simple Layers With The Wildly Flowering Designer Paper

 Hi Friends!

Today’s card is a great example of how designer paper can do most of the work for you. By keeping the layers clean and the embellishments minimal, the patterned paper becomes the star of the card.

Handmade card showcasing designer paper with floral designs, layered cardstock, and a thoughtful sentiment.

Handmade card showcasing designer paper with floral designs, layered cardstock, and a thoughtful sentiment.

This is a wonderful approach when you want a card that feels special without being overly complicated. It’s also a great style for mass-producing cards while still keeping them beautiful.

I used a Misty Moonlight 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" card base.

Then I layered a 5-1/4 x 4" piece of Wildly Flowering DSP, then cut out a 3 x 4-1/2" panel of the same paper with the Textured Notes dies (#4 counted from the smallest), and finally a circle from Stylish Shapes dies (#4 counted from the smallest).  All were adhered using Stampin' Seal.

I die cut the sticks from the Inspiring Imperfections dies out of the Earthen Toned Metallics foil and adhered to the card front using Tombo glue.

Then I stamped the floral image from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set in Misty Moonlight three times, die cut them and adhered 2 to the card front using dimensionals on just the top of the flowers.

I cut a 1 x 4 piece of Misty Moonlight to layer between the flowers, then added the last of the 3 stamped flowers using dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2 x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped in Misty Moonlight.  The sentiment is from the same bundle.

The final touch is some Hues of Blue Flowers.

And, of course, I stamped and adhered a 5-1/4 x 4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card. I never send out a naked inside or envelope, I just love how it's all balanced when you add just the simplest pieces.

I hope you enjoy this card, and that it inspires you to grab some pretty paper and create a card!

Kintsugi Nested Box Pop-Out Card with Inspiring Imperfections Bundle

Hi Friends!

Today I’m sharing another card that I attempted to demonstrate live while we were away, but unfortunately the video quality didn’t turn out as planned. This card is just too pretty not to give it a proper spotlight, so I’ve redone the demonstration and included a clear video tutorial at the end of this post.

The card features the gorgeous Kintsugi Inspirations Suite and the Inspiring Imperfections bundle, and it uses a fun fold called the Nested Box Pop-Out. This fold adds such a beautiful dimensional surprise when the card is opened, and it perfectly complements the elegance and strength of the kintsugi theme.

I received a card with this fold from Holly J for my birthday!

I had so much fun creating this one. The gold foiling on the specialty designer paper adds a lovely shine, and the mix of vases with kintsugi-style "repairs" brings a meaningful touch to the design. It’s one of those cards that feels both intricate and heartfelt, which makes it perfect for celebrating life’s beautiful imperfections.

Here's a photo of the supplies and measurements used so you can easily recreate it. This project really highlights how you can take a suite and bring it to life with just a few thoughtful details and a unique fold.

Be sure to scroll down and check out the video tutorial for the full walkthrough. I hope it inspires you to try this fold and fall in love with the Kintsugi Suite all over again.

Elegant Thank You Card with Kintsugi Inspirations Suite and Inspiring Imperfections

 Hi Friends!

During my Monday live demonstration, I revisited a card that’s simply too beautiful not to share again. This stunning Thank You card was originally created by my talented friend Valerie Barker, and I first demonstrated it a couple of weeks ago while we were away. Unfortunately, the video quality wasn’t quite up to my usual standards, so I decided it deserved a proper spotlight with a brand new video tutorial.

This card showcases the gorgeous Kintsugi Inspirations Suite which includes the Inspiring Imperfections bundle from Stampin’ Up! The combination of the suite’s luxurious specialty paper, elegant gold foil accents, and those delicate, intricate vase designs makes for an absolutely breathtaking project. It’s one of those cards that’s perfect for sending gratitude in style and sure to impress anyone who receives it.

I love how Valerie’s design balances rich detail with clean, sophisticated lines, letting the beautiful gold-embossed florals and kintsugi-inspired details shine. It’s a card that looks like a piece of art and yet is entirely achievable with the right tools and a few fun techniques.

If you missed my live demonstration or just want to see it again, scroll down for the brand new video tutorial where I walk you through every step to recreate this gorgeous card yourself.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope this project inspires you to create something beautiful and share a little handmade kindness.

Elegant Triptych Fun Fold Card Featuring the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite

 Hi Friends!

I shared a beautiful Triptych fun fold card during a recent live demonstration using the absolutely stunning Kintsugi Inspirations Suite from Stampin’ Up! This suite has quickly become a favorite of mine with its thoughtful sentiments, unique dies, and luxurious foil-accented paper. There’s something truly special about the blend of elegance and meaning in this suite that makes every card feel like a work of art.

This card showcases the Inspiring Imperfections bundle and is a great example of how you can use the suite’s delicate images and strong lines to create a wow-worthy fun fold. The Triptych design gives the focal point even more visual impact and really brings out the layered elements in a striking, dimensional way.

The designer paper practically does the work for you—it’s that beautiful. I added a few extra details to elevate the design, and the final result is something I think you’ll love recreating.

Here's the supply list and list of measurements I used for this card:

This suite is currently available as part of my August Kintsugi Inspirations Collaboration Class, and the card I created in this video is just one example of what you can make with the products in this suite. The class includes multiple ways to join, from kits to full suite purchases, and even a tutorial-only option.

If you’re looking for a card design that’s elegant, artistic, and surprisingly easy to make, this one is for you.

Watch the full tutorial below to see how it all comes together:

Let me know what you think of the Triptych fold and the Kintsugi Suite—I’d love to hear your thoughts. Happy stamping!

Elegant Thank You Card with the Kintsugi Suite and Inspiring Imperfections Bundle

Hi Friends!

There are some cards that just stop you in your tracks—and this one is absolutely one of them. I’m excited to share this beautiful thank you card we created together during my Monday live demonstration, featuring the absolutely breathtaking Kintsugi Suite, including the Inspiring Imperfections bundle, the specialty designer paper, and those stunning flower accents.

This card was a special gift I received from the lovely Valerie Barker and the Stamp Crafts Sunshine Club group. I’ve been volunteering with this group for over 16 years now, and every week, I look forward to our time together. These talented ladies inspire me constantly, and their creativity never fails to warm my heart.

The Kintsugi Suite is pure elegance with a meaningful message. The combination of rich gold foiling, delicate floral touches, and the broken-yet-beautiful pottery design brings so much depth and symbolism. I especially love how the suite encourages us to celebrate imperfection—something I think is such a powerful message in both crafting and life.

If you missed the live demonstration, you’ll definitely want to catch the replay. I walk you through how to recreate this exact card step-by-step, using the Inspiring Imperfections dies and stamps to bring that classic Japanese art style to life.

Whether you’re making thank you cards, encouragement cards, or simply want to create something truly elegant, the Kintsugi Suite is a must-have from the new Stampin’ Up! lineup. You’ll find a link to the full video tutorial below—grab your gold accents and get ready to be inspired!

Thanks for stopping by today—happy stamping, and don’t forget to celebrate the beauty in your own perfectly imperfect creations.
