Hi Friends!
Today’s card is a great example of how designer paper can do most of the work for you. By keeping the layers clean and the embellishments minimal, the patterned paper becomes the star of the card.
This is a wonderful approach when you want a card that feels special without being overly complicated. It’s also a great style for mass-producing cards while still keeping them beautiful.
I used a Misty Moonlight 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" card base.
Then I layered a 5-1/4 x 4" piece of Wildly Flowering DSP, then cut out a 3 x 4-1/2" panel of the same paper with the Textured Notes dies (#4 counted from the smallest), and finally a circle from Stylish Shapes dies (#4 counted from the smallest). All were adhered using Stampin' Seal.
I die cut the sticks from the Inspiring Imperfections dies out of the Earthen Toned Metallics foil and adhered to the card front using Tombo glue.
Then I stamped the floral image from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set in Misty Moonlight three times, die cut them and adhered 2 to the card front using dimensionals on just the top of the flowers.
I cut a 1 x 4 piece of Misty Moonlight to layer between the flowers, then added the last of the 3 stamped flowers using dimensionals.
The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2 x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped in Misty Moonlight. The sentiment is from the same bundle.
The final touch is some Hues of Blue Flowers.
And, of course, I stamped and adhered a 5-1/4 x 4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card. I never send out a naked inside or envelope, I just love how it's all balanced when you add just the simplest pieces.
I hope you enjoy this card, and that it inspires you to grab some pretty paper and create a card!
