Fancy Fold 3D Kleenex Card

The cutest card ever for someone who needs a pick me up, or who is under the weather ....

Isn't this the cutest card?  It was another make 'n take project from our Vancouver Island demo group meeting.  This one was presented by my friend Mi Ran Bigrigg from Victoria.  A very talented stamper that has been showcased a few times on my blog.  To create the kleenex box inside, you cut a piece of cardstock 5 x 3, scored at 1, 2-1/2, 3-1/2.  Fold over the short panel and punch both layers with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Then adhere the ends to the inside of the card and voila, it opens up when you open the card!  How clever.

   Stamps:  Field Flowers
   Ink:  Primrose Petals, Old Olive
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White, Primrose Petals
Other:  Square Lattice EF, Whisper White Baker's Twind, Scallop Oval Punch

Have a great day, I am busy getting ready for the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.  Getting so excited!!!!

Field Flowers Thank You card - Cased

Another one of my favourite blogs to visit is Lee Conrey over at Stampinglee Yours.  Lee has a very minimilistic approach to most of her cards, and she has influenced my progress over the years.

This card measures 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".  The background is the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  It is not wide enough, so you just move it over and emboss the rest.  This technique is quite easy with this very versatile embossing folder.

Stamps:  Field Flowers, Because I Care
Ink:  Cajun Craze, More Mustard, StazOn
   Markers:  Old Olive, Cajun Craze
   Paper:  Whisper White, Cajun Craze
Other:  Woodgrain EF, Windows Framelits, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Pearls coloured with a brown sharpie

I love the technique of colouring Stampin' Up! Pearls and Rhinestones with sharpie markers.  It is quick and easy and you can "dye" them to match the colours in your card.  HERE is a link to a you tube video on how to colour pearls and rhinestones.  Have you coloured any of your "bling" to match your card?

Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Ink Pad - Stampin' Up!

I have had a lot of inquiries from my customers about the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Ink Pad by Stampin' Up!  Today I will share with you a card I made using this ink pad.

I used the Illuminate Ink Pad for the background of this card.  It was in the Holiday Catalogue, but it is still available. I inked up the En Francais background stamp and stamped it on Basic Black cardstock. This ink only shows up on darker cardstock as it adds a shimmery opaque look to any stamped image. The floral image is from Field Flowers and I stamped it in VersaMark then embossed it in Silver Embossing Powder.  Then I added some Champagne Shimmer Spritz.  I made my own using Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and 70% Rubbing Alcohol (1 oz R Alcohol to 20 drops Shimmer Paint) in a spritz bottle

   Stamps:  En Francais #109521, Field Flowers #122760 (W) #122762 (C)
Ink:  Illuminate Ink Pad #126857, VersaMark #102283
Paper:  Basic Black #121045, Gumball Green #126840
Other:  Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz #116806, Silver Embossing Powder #109131, Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon #126848

Have you tried this ink pad yet?  Leave me a message and tell me if you like it or not.  Love to hear from you.

Field Flower Sparkle

Did you notice the Illuminate ink pad and refill in the just retired Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue?  It was on page 23.  Don't be surprised if you missed it, so did 3 classes of stampers In My Craft Room!  I challenged 3 sets of stampers to find the ink pad in the catalogue with no help from me.  Not one of the over 20 ladies saw it until I pointed it out.  The good news?  Well it has been held over and is still available!  The last page of the Spring Catalogue has all the products that are still available for you to buy.  This is the ink I used for the background on this card, along with En Francais background stamp.  It is very sparkley in person.
   Stamps:  En Francais, Field Flowers
   Ink:  Illuminate, VersaMark
   Paper:  Basic Black, Gumball Green
Other:  Silver Embossing Powder, Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon
