One Day Mini Retreat - The Pillow Gift

I know I said these posts were over, but I thought I would share this great little treat holder with you .....

It is also known as a Cracker Treat Holder because it looks a lot like a Christmas Cracker.  You use the Envelope Punch Board to punch holes at each end to allow you to "gather" it with ribbon.  If you go to YouTube.com and search for Christmas "Cracker, Envelope Punch Board " you will get lots of videos on how to make this, so I am not going to go into depth here.  A video is much better, don't you think?

  Stamps:  Chalk Talk
  Ink:  Strawberry Slush
Paper:  Strawberry Slush, Silver Glimmer, Whisper White
Other:  Envelope Punch Board, Chocolates of your choice, Silver Ribbon, Banners Die #2

The best part of these treat holders is opening them and eating the truffle chocolates I put inside!

Modern Medley Box Using The Envelope Punch Board by Stampin' Up!

I recently ran across this box on the internet and dropped everything to make it ....

Here is a picture of the top of the box ....

And here is a side view ....

This box was created by Connie Collins over at Constantly Stamping and HERE is a direct link to the tutorial for it.  Connie is part of the 2013 Artisan Design Team for Stampin' Up!  I changed the papers and embellishments originally used, but how to make it is the same.  I love the Modern Medley Designer Paper that Stampin' Up! has in the Annual Catalogue this year (page 154).  I keep asking them to please keep it in the next catalogue as well because it will be a very long time before I get tired of using it!

  Stamps:  Layered Labels
  Ink:  StazOn
Paper:  Modern Medley DSP, Silver Glimmer, Very Vanilla
Punches:  1/2" Circle, 7/8" Scallop Circle, Pansy, Blossom, Large Oval
  Other:  Secret Garden Dies

I am finding the Envelope Punch Board is very versatile to use and you can make so many great things out of it.  It is not just for making envelopes!!

Happy Stampin' .....
