A Tip For Colouring The Celebrate Sunflowers Image With Stampin' Blends!

 Hi Friends!

I created this card for my Seniors Group. They love flowers, and sunflowers are just so happy and bright.

We stamped the sunflower on Basic White cardstock using Memento ink. Then coloured it in with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. I found that, if you heat set the stamped image before you start to colour with the Blends, you get a much nicer result.

The overlay is die cut from Basic Black cardstock, and the designer paper is from the Artfully Composed designer paper.

A couple of Matte Black Dots finish the card off along with the sentiment that is die cut with the Potted Succulents dies.

The is a Z fold card, and is very easy to create.

Cardstock is 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2

Then you just fold it into a Z and add papers and embellishments as you like.

I hope you give it a try!

Celebrate Sunflowers Card and Video Tutorial

 Hi Friends!

Last Monday I was live on my facebook VIP Group and shared how to create this super cute Celebrate Sunflower card.

I was stuck on sunflowers being yellow with brown centers, but I decided I could take creative license and make an orangey coloured one.  What do you think?

I used the Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils to add colour, then used a Blender Pen to blend it all together.

I have a detailed how to tutorial on my video below.  It's truly an easy technique and so relaxing.

You can find the supplies I used and all the dimensions for the papers in my video.

Celebrate Sunflowers For Sunshine Ladies Stamping

 Hi Friends!

On Wednesday mornings a group of fun "senior" Ladies gather in my studio to make cards together.

We used to meet every Wednesday morning at our local rec center, before covid hit.  I have been volunteering with the Sunshine Club for almost 10 years now and it is one of the highlights of my week.

In March all that came to an end, and we all missed getting together. Now that I have "covid-ized" my studio, we can gather in groups of 4 and stamp once again.

We stamp in 3 groups 3 or 4 times a month now, and it is so great to see them all again.

Here is what my "covid-ized" table looks like - perfect protection for all stampers with the clear plastic barriers. And supplies are sanitized as required by regulation.

Today's card was inspired by Amy Koenders and is made with the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle.

Here's the recipe for the card:

Soft Suede 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
In Good Taste designer paper 4 x 5-1/4
Bumblebee 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 (put adhesive sheet on one of them)
Early Espresso 2 x 2
Brass Foil 1 x 1
Just Jade 2-3/4 x 3
Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4
Just Jade Gingham Ribbon 15"
In Colour Enamel Dots
Sunflower Dies
Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set
Ink: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Pretty Peacock
Stampin' Write Markers Crushed Curry, Just Jade
Envelope

Celebrate Sunflowers Using Designer Paper

 Hi Friends!

Each month my Team of Craft Room Stampers and I get together to recognize their amazing accomplishments, birthdays, stampaversaries, and anything else we can come up with. And we always stamp of course. We are now doing this virtually by zoom, which is a great way to still socialize and stamp together.

This month I showed them how to create this beautiful Celebrate Sunflowers card. Because of not being able to be together in person, I am trying to do projects that they can do as well using what they have at home. Or they just stamp and create something of their own.

I used the Seabed embossing folder for the background. It is not only for sea/water themed cards!  I just love all the texture of this folder and the designs it produces are so fun.

                                        Seabed Embossing Folder  #152700  $13.50

I hope you enjoy this card as it shows how to use designer paper for the background of die cuts.

                                        2020-2022 In Colour Designer Paper  #153070  $13.50

Would love to hear what you think and I would love to see a project you are working on or created already!
Happy Stamping
