Embedded Rose Thank You Card

Hi Friends!

Last week in our Monthly Stamping Club stamping time, we created what I am calling the Embedded Rose Technique.

Each month members of my clubs get a hand made Thank You card and last month I gave them each one of these.  Then I decided to show them how I created them.

I used Wink Of Stella Clear Glimmer Pen on the flower pieces and boy does it shimmer!  Have I mentioned lately that I love bling???  LOL

First cut one flower (I used the Rose Garden Dies for this one, they are retiring soon) out of Basic Black.  Then cut one out of designer paper (I used Painted With Love Specialty designer series paper).  Using a separate piece of basic black, glue the black outline rose to it.  Then glue each of the pieces from the designer paper rose into the black frame.  Once that is finished, trim the bottom piece of cardstock around the flower.  Voila!  It's done! Just that easy, but a bit time consuming.  Don't lose track of those itty bitty flower pieces.  Then we used the remaining designer paper rose frame for inside the card so you have very little waste.

Thick Whisper White 8-1/2 x5-1/2
Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4, 2-1/2 x 3 (x 2 pieces)

Petal Passion designer series paper 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 (retiring)
Painted With Love specialty designer series paper 1 x 5-1/8, 2-1/2 x 3 (retiring)
