I Dig You Card Share #3

Here is the final card in my 3 card series of Little Boy cards made with the I Dig You stamp set by Stampin' Up!

When I made this card and shared it with our oldest grandson, I called this a back hoe.  I was quickly corrected ...  "Gramma, that's a loader!"  Boy I was told!

   Stamps:  I Dig You
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Markers:  Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Island Indigo
Paper:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Other:  Cloudy Day EF, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Silver Brads, Key Tag Punch (R)

I used the Direct To Paper technique to colour the dirt.  I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock the correct size.  Then I tore off the top to make a hill of dirt.  Then took the Crumb Cake ink pad and smooshed it directly onto the cardstock.  When it dried, I ran it through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Voila dirt!

That's it for this series of cards, hope you had a great week.  I am off to a papercrafting retreat weekend with a bunch of papercrafting obsessed women.  Whoo hooo should be an awesome week.  Then on Tuesday morning at 9 am (my time) I will be poised over my keyboard with the computer logged on to the demonstrator side of the Stampin' Up! website.  This is the date and time we can begin to register for our Annual Convention in Salt Lake City in July.  I will be trying to register with thousands of other demonstrators.  Cross you fingers for me!!!!

I Dig You Card Share #2

The second in a 3 card series using the Stampin' Up! set, I Dig You!

What little (or big) boy doesn't like trucks and machinery?  This set is absolutely the best for making these kinds of cards.  It is called I Dig You.  Here is a picture of the entire set .....

Item # 122720 - wood mounted - $33.95
Item # 122722 - clear mount - $24.95

Stamps:  I Dig You
Ink:  Basic Black, Pacific Point, Soft Suede
Markers:  Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Paper:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
Other:  Cloudy Day EF, Vine Street EF, Borders Scoring Plate, Basics Glimmer Brads, Key Tag Punch (R)

To create the road, I used the Borders Scoring Plate that works with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, and embossed a squiggly line.  Then I moved the cardstock over a bit, and scored a second squiggly line, then cut it out.  Easy Peasy!

Item # 126192 - $19.95
From the Spring Catalogue

I hope you are enjoying the cards this week, and getting a bit inspired.  When I am "stuck" for a card idea, I hit the internet and browse a bit.  There are so many awesome cards out there.  How do you get unstuck?

Happy Stampin' ... ... ....

I Dig You Card Share #1

This week I will be sharing 3 little boy (or big boy) cards we made using the I Dig You stamp set

Our oldest grandson, James, absolutely LOVES machinery of any kind.  When he was little we spent a lot of time watching the machinery in our neighbourhood digging holes and building new houses.  He loved every minute of it.  Those times inspired me to create the next 3 cards I will be sharing with you.
This first one is made with the Digger stamp.  I used some of the Naturals Composition Specialty DSP for the dirt at the bottom of the card.

   Stamps:  I Dig You
Ink:  Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
   Markers"  Basic Black, Early Espresso
Paper:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Naturals Composition DSP
Other:  Silver Brads, Cloudy Day EF, Key Tag Punch (R)

See you tomorrow, Happy Stampin' ..... ..... .....
