Pink Elebration - Baby Girl Card

I'm still in a Baby kick and have a pink one to share with you today.  I love how Stampin' Up! now offers single stamps.  They call it A La Carte.  Elebration is one of those stamps, and I used it to create this card ....

The corner is punched with the Decorative Label Punch.  HERE is a tutorial Patty Bennett posted on her blog on how to do it.  You all know I love to use my punches "outside the box" and this is one of those ideas.  We saw it at Convention in Salt Lake City in July.  The DSP I used is retired "Sending Love Specialty DSP" but it just went so well with my colour scheme.  I may have hoarded a bit of this paper!  LOL

Bashful Blue Baby Hippo Card

I just finished making our new Grandson, Cameron's baby announcement cards (that was a marathon like making Christmas cards!).  Inspiration was taken from THIS post of Chat W back in February 2011.  Chat created a great baby card, and I cased and changed it a bit and created this card ...

 Well it has a lot of layers and I popped up a bunch of them so, that together with the bow made it unfriendly for putting in the mail.  So I reconfigured it for Cameron and came up with this one ....

Only the hippo is popped and the bow is made from some retired Bashful Blue 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  Now I know why I am such a hoarder!  I printed the inside out on my computer matching the colours from the outside ...

 Here is the basketful ....

I love the set Pun Fun and plan on keeping it for a long, long time.  I also used some retired Bashful Blue patterns DSP.  Such fun.

Welcome Baby Stocking Card

At convention when we first saw the Stocking Builder Punch, someone said "Oh, wouldn't that make a sweet baby bootie?"  Ever since then I have had a card I wanted to make, but I kept forgetting to order the Designer Frames Embossing Folders.  Well, now it has all come together and I have this card to share with you ....

 And a closer view of the Baby Bootie embellishment, which is spritzed with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz of course, but you can't see it in this photo .....

I punched the stocking out a bit shorter than normal, then ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Then I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock, separated the layers, turned them inside out, and used the "fluffy" side for the top of the bootie.  A bit of White Baker's Twine for the drawstrings finish it off.

Baby Boy Bear Hugs

Time to make some baby cards again. This time blue for the boys that have been born lately.  I hauled out my Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock.  Then I went to the ribbon and - many thanks to Stampin' Up! who heard my Oh NO!!!  when they retired the Bashful Blue satin ribbon, and then this year brought it back again - and got out my Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon!  Here is what I came up with.....

I hardly ever use the Pinking Hearts punches, so decided to use them this time, along with the new Stripes Embossing Folder.  Then to put the scored lines around the stamped image, I used the brand new wonderful Simply Scored by Stampin' Up!

Ink:  Bashful Blue

Baby Face card.....

The last Tuesday of each month is our Punchie Class. This month we are doing this Baby Face card, and the Mermaid I will post tomorrow.

This card was from Nancy Dawson's post HERE. I saved this from way back in April 2009. I love this baby face and new I had to share it with my stampers. Here is the picture of mine:

I used So Saffron as my colour scheme and put a small rhinestone brad in her mouth for a soother. The bottom DSP is the new Good Neighbour DSP free in the Sale-A-Bration brochure (with minimum order). The upper DSP is the now retired Walk In The Park. I was lucky enough to get an extra pack of this paper and I have been trying to use up my old stuff. Here is what else I used:

Paper: Walk In The Park and Good Neighbor DSP

Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron

Other: Baby Face punchie including a rhinestone brad and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, dimensionals, Eyelette Border punch.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving. I truly appreciate it. Tomorrow I have to create a birthday card for my neice who is turning 12. How can that be???? Where does the time go. Anyways, she is a snowboarder so I have the perfect stamp for her. I will post it when it is done.

Beary Best Friends Baby Card

I had to make 2 baby girl cards today. So I made 3, just in case! I wanted to do some more colouring with my Copics and this image seemed not too difficult. Each image I tried something different with the shading and the light source. They turned out not too bad. Here' s the picture of the outside and inside of the cards (they were all identical except for the colouring / shading):

I used Pale Plum for the card base, and Whisper White and Perfect Plum for layers that were punched with the new Pinking Hearts Border punch. The image was stamped on Whisper White cardstock and coloured with the Copic markers. I then stamped the swirl from the Priceless set in Pale Plum around the edges, and the flower from Priceless in Perfect Plum in amongst the swirls. I popped up the Perfect Plum from the punched WW layer on dimensionals. On the front I tied Whisper White Organza ribbon on one, Whisper White taffeta layered with Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain ribbons on another one, and for the third one I dyed the WW Organza with the Pale Plum marker (then wiped it with a baby wipe to even out the colour which works awesomely - the first time I've tried that). But I forgot to take pictures of those ribbons, they looked ok too. There is no sentiment on the front of these cards as I did not want it to interfere with the coloured image of the bear. Inside I stamped the train from the "Teddy and Train" set in Perfect Plum, and the sentiment from "Full Of Life" set in Pale Plum and Nursery Necessities "It's A Girl" in Pale Plum. The WW piece inside is daubed around the edge with Perfect Plum ink.

These cards were fun to make, but very time consuming. All that colouring and blending and shading..............
