Even though I am away on a family cruise this week, I still wanted to share a little crafty inspiration with you! 💜

Today’s card features the beautiful Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Paper paired with the Words & Wishes bundle to create a bright and cheerful birthday card. Sometimes the designer paper is so pretty that it really becomes the star of the project, and that is definitely the case with this card.

I love the combination of the soft floral meadow background with the bold layered “Happy Birthday” sentiment. The bright pink lettering adds such a fun pop of colour while still letting all those delicate flowers shine through. A few embellishments finish the card off perfectly without taking away from the gorgeous paper design.

This style of card is also a wonderful reminder that you do not always need complicated techniques to create something eye-catching. A beautiful piece of designer paper, a bold sentiment, and a few simple layers can come together for a stunning handmade card.
