Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - An Alternative Card

 Hi Friends!

Welcome to the February Paper Pumpkin Kit inspired blog hop!

Each month the Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit arrives on my doorstep and it's like Christmas every month.

We get hints what the theme of the box is for the month, but no specifics. So when I open that box it is a delight every single time.

I do a live unboxing in my facebook VIP Group when the box arrives, and we create 1 of each project and go through everything in the box. I also include the sneak peek for the next box!

This month I created two "alternative" projects out of one suggested by the creators.

For the first one, I cut one of the card bases to 5-1/4 x 4 and mounted it on a basic white card base. Then I added a separate piece of basic white (5-1/4 x 4) on the inside and did some custom stamping.

The rest of this card is basically as it was meant to be in the instructions.

Then I took the rest of the card base and cut another 5-1/4 x 4 piece and created this card using the stamp set and some alternative embellishments - the Matte Black Dots!
The image is stamped using the stamp set included with the kit and I coloured it with Stampin' Blends. I used a piece of Bumblebee cardstock to layer under the sentiment to mimic what the instructions suggested.

I used some of the Flower and Fields designer paper from Sale-a-Bration to create a custom envelope.

The inside was once again stamped using the included stamp set.
