Hello Friends!
I did a couple of 3D projects for my New Catalogue Tea Party earlier in the month. As soon as I saw the Up & Away dies I knew I wanted to create a treat holder that can also be used on a party table. Here's what I came up with. Please note, I have been told there are others out there on the web, but I made this one way back in early December and it is all my own, it is not cased.
I cut 8 large Hot Air Balloons in total, 4 in Whisper White, 2 in Daffodil Delight, and 2 in Pumpkin Pie. Then I folded them in half length ways, and using Tombo Multipurpose Glue I glued them together. They match up very well. I purchased some paper straws to use to attach the basket to the balloon. The basket is just a square box in Soft Suede then I covered it in some Carried Away designer series paper that you can get for FREE right now during Sale-A-Bration. The bows are from the Santa Sleigh Dies which have been carried over from the retired Holiday Catalogue!
I cut the Soft Suede at 2-1/2 x 2-1/2, then scored it on all 4 sides at 3/4" and made up the box. The sentiment comes from the Balloon Adventures stamp set. I did put a .125" dowel down the middle of the balloon so I could attach a sentiment flag.
What do you think? Shall I do a video on how to make this cute party favour? Let me know and I will "whip it up"! LOL
