Hello Friends
Everyone loves to get mail the old fashioned way - by "snail mail". We all have mail boxes in one form or another, but they sure don't get used like they used to.
Mail these days is usually bills or junk mail. It saddens me to think of people who have given up on sending cards to friends, loved ones, and random acts of kindness (RAK), and turned to social media.
Anyone can wish you a Happy Birthday online, but only a special person will take the time to make a card, address it, attach a postage stamp, and slip it into a mail box just for you.
This Saturday, October 1st, is World Card Making Day. I challenge each of you to put a card into the mail and reach out to someone you have not seen for a while, or someone who needs a pick me up, or maybe someone who has a birthday this (or next) week. I usually mail out 10-15 cards each week. Some are Thank Yous, some are Birthdays, some are Thinking Of You, and some are just for the fun of it. Try it, and get back into the habit of sending cards in the mail again.
Today I have a video for you by Stampin' Up! on World Card Making Day ....
Here's a card I made for my hubby, Ted, for our 40th Wedding Anniversary ...
Leave a message below, or EMAIL ME, and let me know how many cards you mailed between now (Tues Sept 27) and Saturday!
Have a Crafty Day!! Glenda Mollet

Hello Glenda, love your blog and your cards. I love to mail out cards. You are so right, we all love to get mail other than the bills and junk. This year I decided I was going to mail out more cards and keep in closer touch with my family and friends and no better way than with a "thinking of you" card. I'm not quite as good as you, but try my best to mail out at least 2 a week. Take care and happy card making. Sheila
Happy Anniversary to you and Ted!
Sorry I didn't know about it :o(
Hugs, Candy
