Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms Pop Up Box Card

Hello Friends

I am off tomorrow to visit family then on to my Team Member, Laverna.  She lives a lllooonnnggg way from me and we only get to get together every 4 or 5 years.

When I told her I was going to visit, she asked if I would do a class with her and her Stampin' Ladies. Of Course!  She asked for a Pop Up Box card.  It's been a while since I created on of these, and I had almost forgotten how fun they are to make.

This is what I came up with. I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set and co-ordinating Botanical dies.  The wonderful designer paper is from the Affectionately Yours package and I added some Daffodil Delight cardstock to the outside of the fold up flaps.  You can just see it peeking out under the left flap.

The base is made out of a 12 x 6" piece of whisper white cardstock.  Here's the template to make the card base ...

Here is the rest of the recipe:
Cucumber Crush 5-3/4 x 2-1/2 (2 pieces)
Affectionately Yours DSP:
   Yellow/Green print  2-1/2 x 2-1/4 (3 pieces)
   Floral print  2-1/2 x 3-1/4 (3 pieces)
Daffodil Delight 2-1/2 x 2-1/4 (3 pieces), 2-1/2 x 2-1/2
Whisper White 5-1/2 x 3-1/4 , 1-1/2 x 3-1/4 (2 pieces), 1 x 3-3/4 (2 pieces) scored at 1 and 3-3/4
Watermelon Wonder 1-1/2 x 3 (2 pieces), 2 x 4-1/4

Tools I used:  Layering Ovals dies, Botanical Blooms stamp set, Botanical dies, Floral Affection embossing folders, Sunburst Sayings stamp set
Inks:  Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder

Here are a couple of other views of the card ....

This is the inside where the 1 x 4-3/4" white pieces are folded and added to create the foundation to add the flowers and leaves.

This is when it is folded. It is very important to ensure nothing sticks out beyond the "borders" when folded or you won't get it into your envelope.  I use a 6 x 6 envelope for these cards.

This is the back where you would put your writing.  I used Fabulous Flora (Host set) in Watermelon Wonder ink to jazz it up a bit.  I also put this image on the envelope.

I hope this inspires you to create a Pop Up Box card of your own.  CLICK HERE to go to my website and order these products in Canada. Please use Host Code MQXMT2V3 and I will send you a copy of my tutorial for a Pop Up Box card.  If you prefer, EMAIL ME and I would be happy to place your Canadian order for you.

Have a Crafty Day!  Glenda Mollet
