Using the Thoughtful Journey patterned paper and Under The Moon stamp set to create a quick and easy birthday card suitable for anyone.

Hi Friends!

Today's card uses the beautiful Thoughtful Journey designer paper (aka patterned paper) for the background to a pretty sailing scene.

We used to own sailboats. The first one was the "Flying Camel" and it was 27 feet long, did not have a fridge, but did have a "head" (aka bathroom) and bunks for the kids.

Then we graduated to the Maraya, a 32 foot sailboat with all the comforts of home.  Here's a picture of it, and our dog Popi (who is no longer with us) who enjoyed every minute on both boats with us.

We no longer have a sailboat, but we do have a power boat that we get to go out on the water with. I love the water and miss it.

But now I can stamp scenes with this stamp set and it brings back all the memories we had for all those years.

This card uses Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue, Peach Pie and Smoky Slate to create the beautiful scene.

Here's the recipe of what I used:

  Boho Blue card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

  Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (inside), 1/2 x 4 (for sentiment), 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 (die cut circle)

  Thoughtful Journey patterned paper  5-1/4 x 4 (front), 3/4 x 4 (inside), 2 x 6 on the envelope.

This uses a complete 6x6 piece of this paper.

I also used:

Wink of Stella, 3 Pack Tinsel Gems, Deckled Circle Dies and the Simply Said stamp set.
