Lilypad Lake Card Share

My favourite kind of card to create is one with clean simple lines.  The Lily Pad Lake stamp set and matching Lakeside dies fills this requirement to a T.

I knew I wanted to make a tranquil card using the flamingo as the focal point and this is the card I came up with.....

To make the coloured piece in behind the die cut white on the front I dragged a Bermuda Bay ink pad over a piece of Glossy White cardstock.  I angled the pad so that only the outer edge touched the pad, and when it was dragged over the cardstock it left some white(ish) areas. You can't tell from the photo, but it really shines in real life with the glossy paper peeking through the die cut lines.

The lily pads have Wink Of Stella clear glimmer pen on them to add even more bling than adding the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls do.  This card is "bling to the max".  A piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock is cut out to create the sun, and I put it so it peeks out of the die cut lines.

Until about 3 years ago, we had a sailboat, and this brings back some very fond memories for me.  Sometimes I miss our boat.

The die with the lines doesn't cut a whole card front out at one time, you have to repeat it to make cuts all the way down.  But this is very easy to do.  There is even dies to cut out the sailboats and the lilypads!  No fussy cutting at all ....  yippee.

I will put a list of supplies I used to create this card below my signature.  Just click on any of the images to go to my Online Canadian Store for more information.  If you choose to place an order, please use the Current Host Code located on the right side of my blog up near the top in a brightly coloured box.

You can also EMAIL ME and I am happy to help, or answer any questions.
