Layering Alphabet Dies Video Share

Hi Friends!

Last Tuesday (wow was it that long ago???) I shared a card we created at our Craft Room Stampers Team Dinner and Stamping Night.  It uses the Layering Alphabet dies from Stampin' Up!

If you missed that post, CLICK HERE to see how we made the card, and get a tip on lining up the letters.

Stampin' Up! has done a great video on more tips and tricks for using these brand new dies.

If the video disappears, please CLICK HERE to view it on youtube.

I also used this bundle, including the co-ordinating Lined Alphabet stamp set, to create this cute baby card.

The dies can be used with the special die that cuts the triangular piece or alone to create great sized lower case letters.  There is just a bit of hand cutting to do to finish the letters when you don't use the other piece, but it is real quick and easy.  To create the letters I first stamped them, then die cut them.  The dies are made so you can see through them to line them up.  Don't forget to stamp the sentiment before you emboss with the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.

The Kangaroo mommy holding the baby Koala in her pouch from Animal Outing, is perfect for a baby card, don't you think?  I coloured them with Stampin' Blends.  There are even dies for the images, how great is that????

Yesterday my hubby and I went on a day trip.  We drove to Tofino on the very west coast of Vancouver Island, BC for lunch. It takes us about 1.5 hours to get there, but he had a couple of things to do on the way so it was a bit longer but well worth it.  There is a food truck out there called Tacofino and it has the most amazing food.  But if you decide to go there, be prepared for a wait to get your food.  There is always a long line up any time of the year, but it is even longer when the weather is warm and sunny as it was yesterday.

Here are a couple of pictures I took along the way.  I hope you enjoy them.
