True Gentleman Card Share

Hi Friends!

The card I am sharing with you today was inspired by Debbie Henderson.  We all know how difficult it is to make masculine cards.  I loved how Debbie used the True Gentleman designer series paper (DSP) for the main focal point of this card.

I didn't do the card exactly as she did, but it inspired me to make this card ....

The designer paper is cut in various widths and lengths. Then you flag one end.  There is even on made out of Tranquil Tide cardstock and embossed with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder.

Here's a recipe for you ....

Night of Navy 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
Tranquil Tide  1-1/2 x 2-1/2
Very Vanilla 4 x 2-3/4, 3-1/2 x 5/8
DSP pipes 2 x 2-1/2
        Stripes 2 x 2-1/2, 1/2 x 5-1/2
        Lines  1-1/2 x 2-1/2
       Glasses  1-1/2 x 2-1/2
       Dots 1/2 x 5-1/2

Use the two pieces 1/2 x 5-1/2 to cover up the top of the other pieces so you don't have to worry about lining them up. You can make them look good at the bottom.

The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla, then punch it out with the Tailored Tag Punch.  The cardstock (3-1/2 x 5/8) is too narrow for the punch, but I love how it makes the punched piece look, kind of funky ends on it.  The Celebrate You die set is not available right now. It was one of the Sale-a-Bration offerings, but the great news is that it is returning in the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue on June 1st!!!

I hope you get a chance to make some masculine cards. This designer paper is retiring at the end of May, so don't wait too long to order some for your craft room!
