Southern Serenade Card Share

Hi Friends!

One of the best benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is going to the semi-annual conventions called OnStage.  There are 3 levels in which you can participate.  OnStage Live is the big event where everything happens live, it goes for 3 days and is located in one country worldwide.  OnStage Local is a smaller event, held for only 1 day, but there are numerous locations worldwide and you can choose to go to any one of them.  Then there is OnStage Online.  This one has just the high lights and videos created at OnStage Live and shared at all OnStage Local venues.

It is simply amazing to be part of hundreds or thousands of Demonstrators all with the same thing on their mind.... stamping, creating and Stampin' Up!

Last November I participated in the OnStage Live in Salt Lake City, Utah.  One of the best things about these events is watching the stamping demonstrations.  This card was shared with us there and I thought it was so beautiful that I wanted to share it with you.

I changed a couple of things on the card, but it is basically the same.  This technique is called Out Of The Box Die Cuts.  Once you stamp the image, you cut from the sides towards the image where you want the die cut to lay under the stamped image.  The die is laid over top of the part where you want the die to cut the cardstock, then slips behind the part of the stamped image that you don't want the die to cut out.  Then you fussy cut the remainder of the image.

This card uses the Southern Serenade stamp set available in the 2018 Occasions Catalogue (page 49).  I coloured it with the Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist ink pads using an Aqua Pen.  The die cut/fussy cut image was layered over a Fresh Fig die cut circle and then lifted up on Dimensionals.

Fresh Fig cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 folded in half, and 2-3/4 x 2-3/4
Lemon Lime Twist 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
Basic Black 4-7/8 x 3-5/8
Whisper White 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 and 2-3/4 x 3-1/2

I wrapped 5-1/2" of Fresh Fig Woven Ribbon around the middle between the two stamped images.  The Layered Circle Dies I used were #5 and #6 (counted from smallest up).  Then I added some Pearl Embellishments to finish it off.
