Welcome Back, Woodland Embossing Folder, You Have Been Missed!

When Stampin' Up! announced it was retiring the Woodland Embossing Folder, I was a bit upset.  But with a bit of persuasion from Demonstrators and Customers alike, Stampin' Up! decided to bring it back.  Yippeeeee

It is in the 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that was just released on June 1st.  I am so glad it is back (page 195 Item #139673  $11.25 Cdn) and couldn't wait to have a Woodland Embossing Folder Technique Class.  Here is one of the cards we made in that class ....

This is just one of the great things you can do with this beautiful embossing folder.

First you sponge Marina Mist ink right onto the inside of the embossing folder on the top.  Then you sponge Crumb Cake ink under that completely covering the embossing folder.  We then inked up the car image from Guy Greetings in Memento ink, and stamped it right onto the inside of the embossing folder.  You have to make sure all of this is done on the side of the folder that has the "indented trees" which is the side that has the labels on it.

Put your Whisper White cardstock (5 x 3-3/4") inside the embossing folder, on the side that you have not added ink to, then close the folder. You do this so you can move the cardsock around and not smudge the ink.  Then run it through your Big Shot as usual.  Once that is done, you have a great image of cars hiding behind the trees.  We coloured the cars with Almost Artichoke ink using an aqua pen.  Then, using a sponge and crumb cake ink, lightly drag the sponge over the trees to give them some definition.

The card base is Marina Mist 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored and folded at 4-1/4
The first layer is Night Of Navy 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
The sentiment is also from Guy Greetings and punched out with the now retired Washi Label Punch
