Shimmery French Foliage card

I know this stamp set has retired, but I just love this card and decided to share it anyways.

Back in February, the Vancouver Island Demonstrator group got together.  We meet twice a year and have a "mini regional event".  We have make 'n takes, swaps, discussions and lunch.  Not to mention all the catching up in each others lives.  This card was a make 'n take by Karen Vanderberg from Qualicum Beach, BC.  It is a deceptively simple card.  You have to create a "reverse mask" of sorts out of a piece of scrap cardstock 3-3/4 x 5 (which is the same size as the white layer on the front), then using the new Stampin' Trimmer you cut a hole in the middle measuring 3 x 1-3/4.  Lay it over the white cardstock and sponge (or use a dauber) Old Olive ink in the hole, you will want complete coverage. Then spritz Gold Smooch Spritz (also retired now) over the ink before you remove the reverse mask.  All that is left is to stamp the images as shown.  Thank you Karen, for sharing this great technique.  Now I have to re-create it with current products.

   Stamps:  French Foliage, Beautiful Birthday
   Ink:  Basic Black, Old Olive
Paper:  Whisper White, Old Olive, Basic Black
Other:  Gold Smooch Spritz, Reverse Mask layer (instructions above)

Happy Stampin' ....

Really like this card, Glenda.
It would be an excellent 'male' card!
