Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper Birthday Card

This is a classic layout, and it works with so many colours, cardstocks, designer papers, ribbons and stamp sets.  You can make it sentiment only, or put a stamped image where the sentiment is, and put the sentiment elsewhere on the card.  I make this layout when I need a quick and easy card.  I have some beginner card classes coming up and this will be one of the cards we are doing.
For this card I used the Stampin' Up! Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Whisper White cardstock colours.  A bit of Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon around the middle, and there you have it!  The sentiment is a retired stamp but is punched out with the Stampin' Up! Wide Oval punch, and layered on top of the new Decorative Label Punch from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalogue.  This catty has so many awesome punches in it.
I hope this card inspires you to make a quick easy card.  Sometimes I forget how great it is to go with simple instead of all the layers, cutting, sponging and colouring.
Went for a walk on the Wickanninish Beach today.  It has a lovely gravel walkway with some boardwalks on the way to the South Beach.  On the way back we had a Black Bear encounter.  Good thing my SIL and I can't sing at all, it sure scared that bear away in a nano-second.  It's amazing how bad "She'll Be Comin Round The Mountain" can sound!!!
